  • 2020 DT PRE-SEASON OUTLOOK (posted 3 Dec 2019)
    Donuts from the beige beignet
Carrying a left ankle injury through preseason, Luke Brown was eventually sent in for plantaris surgery and missed the first seven games of the last campaign. Upon his return he continued to play his deep defensive role, occasionally posting startable scores but just as often touching the scruff of his opponents' jumpers more often than leather.
Brown is a signature example of an old-fashioned back pocket, which every team needs even if some of them don't possess one. While his half back teammates accumulate media mentions, awards and representative jerseys, Brown will just keep on quietly delivering for his club. Try not to be in a position where you have to pick him up for a spot start.

Apply aloe vera liberally to affected area :) although I didn't say cut funding, I said I'm happy for it, though it didn't help your reading comprehension. Back on topic though, Luke Brown, hope he guns it this year! - NewFreoFan - 132 months ago

Good one newfreofan. Lets cut funding for schools, so our country can be as successful as the Fremantle FC. - S_Coach99 - 132 months ago
You're the annoying thing about my taxes going to schools hespey, it breeds smart ass w@nkers. - NewFreoFan - 132 months ago
As the great man once said, "stupid is as stupid does". - hespey - 132 months ago
Your joy at 'thejdog' and his apparent grandiloquence is nullified by his incompetence in quadratic equation. The implication that he "could play until" 100 years old is void and redundant, as the typographic error insinuates he debuted at 110 years old. - hespey - 132 months ago
Much joy at seeing "indefatigable" on a footy forum. This is why I'm happy to pay taxes that go towards schools even though I have no kids, I don't want to live in a world of stupid people. - NewFreoFan - 133 months ago
Indefatigable. Acts as a great-grandfather figure to younger players. "The original Michael Tuck". Could play until he's 100 and beyond. - thejdog - 133 months ago

Absolute gun the 1923 GF. Kicked 2 goals and had 12 marks off half back - fivestarmd - 145 months ago

Good decision. - Turkies - 145 months ago
Was going to make a comment about him being 110 years old but then did not think it would be very funny. - Dunniemen - 145 months ago

Mr Football

Mr FootballThe Mr Football fantasy management simulation is being developed for a soft launch as a mobile game for Android and iPhone in 2024. It is a collectible card game set in a different world, one where Ross Oakley failed and there is no national league… but footy still thrives. Become the coach of your own team, recruit players by opening card packs, train them up, play teams from all over Australia and try to win it all! Check out the latest rules document from the original browser game on the Mr Football board.
