TAGS (life club position role style health) (FF #39544) 2019 DT PRE-SEASON OUTLOOK (posted 29 Jan 2019) Poor heritage from Armitage
Aside from a superb 2015 season, David Armitage has been a mostly underwhelming fantasy scorer. In recent years he has faced a seemingly endless battle to recover from back and knee issues, which have limited his games played and output. As a dual-position player for 2019, Armitage does hold some interest for fantasy coaches. However, the reason for that is he spent some time forward last season, where his scoring was execrable. Consider him with a late pick and cross your fingers in the hope that he gets his body right. -

PLAYER DISCUSSION • NO! His time is now! - morgs640 - 112 months ago • Your time is now David... - W.Mantooth - 163 months ago • Will he get more game time now that Lenny is out for the season? - stretchie - 163 months ago • Migman, you are on the money. Ross does not get the best out of his young players, he gets the opposite, he ignores them at his peril. Will Cripp's be the excepction? I"m not going to risk it. And as for Armitage, no way. - GJayBee - 164 months ago • come on rossy. give him a go. - BigV2011 - 164 months ago • i see hes from QLD, he should seriously think about going to the gold coast. ross lyon is a knobba and obviously doesnt know how to get the best out of his young players. - migman19 - 170 months ago • lyon is retarded hes going to flower this up like he did luke ball, armit is such a good player maybe most under rated player going round - ascari - 174 months ago • Lyon is very critical of him I think. I remember in the NAB Lyon was interviewed at half time and asked about Armitage. He straight away brought up the negatives of Armitage's game and then at the end just tagged on a "yeah he's going good" typical remark to keep everyone happy. - Grovesy - 174 months ago • vegasmagic correct me if i'm wrong but saints only beat freo by 15 points. the game was close/intense for 4 quarters and he still racked up 99 points (DT). kind of blows your theory out of the water. i would say he is inconsistent but not a big game player. as has also been said ross lyon doesn't give him a lot of TOG. - magnets84 - 174 months ago • and hes played 17 fricken games. hardly had a chance to prove himself. you think carey or brown were big game players right from the get go? nup. - migman19 - 174 months ago • thats uncalled for. you have to take into account the TOG ross lyon gives him in those hard games. the answer is not alot. - migman19 - 174 months ago • Possibly the league's worst big game player. Just compare his scores in hard games to ones St Kilda win by 10 goals+. - VegasMagic - 174 months ago • If he plays 22 games Armitage could be the pick of the season. - Alex7089 - 175 months ago • money to be made with army so long as lyon keeps giving him a gig. - The Fridge - 175 months ago • a lot of money to spend on a guy who's played two good games out of three in 2009 to get his 97 average. if he plays all of 2010 and averages 97 i'll stand corrected. - tigerman28 - 176 months ago • In my opinion, definitely. ;D (@ NADO) - Kazakhstan - 176 months ago • worth getting?? - NADO95 - 176 months ago • Expect Armitage to turn into a superstar in 2010 after averaging over 90 DT and SC points in 2009. - BigV - 180 months ago • If Luke Ball doesnt play for St.Kilda next year expect a big year from this guy who will slot into their best 22. Still he's not priced that cheap, because the few games he did play this year he played really well - Philnc - 180 months ago • has never been given a serious opportunity. lets hope Lyon comes to his senses in 2010. - migman19 - 180 months ago
