NEWS: Ty Zantuck twisted both his left knee and ankle when he fell awkwardly after a contest off the ball with Quinten Lynch in round 12 against West Coast. Zantuck reportedly suffered a strained medial ligament and sprained ankle. | This was Zantuck's scheduled down week, judging from his up-and-down form this season, but the injury looked nasty on top of it. Zantuck did run out the game though, so the damage might not put him out next week.

NEWS: Ty Zantuck has one week of a two-week suspension to serve from last year. | A pity, since Essendon could do with the help. Zantuck is not a fantasy star in any case.

NEWS: Ty Zantuck will play for Essendon for the first time in a practice match against Brisbane this weekend after recovering from "minor" back surgery, according to Bomberland. Zantuck transferred from Richmond in the offseason. | The timing couldn't be better, as he is replacing an injured Dean Solomon whom he is being groomed to replace in the long term, as Bomberland noted. However, Zantuck's fantasy scoring at Richmond was far worse than Solomon's at Essendon, so fantasy coaches will probably look elsewhere for now.
