The surge by the Demons towards finals looked like leaving Jay Kennedy-Harris on the sidelines in the reserves, where his form was subdued compared to his big late 2017 spurt. An injury to Jack Viney opened the door for a six-game run in to the finals... but then Viney recovered and took his spot back for September, so JKH had to rejoin Casey on their VFL finals campaign. He suffered major bone bruising to a leg in the JLT.After a move from small forward to midfield, Kennedy-Harris has never been able to make the step up from the lower grade to the big time and maintain his level of accumulation. Perhaps that's just unfamiliarity from his teammates, but that situation isn't going to get any better, especially with Nathan Jones moving out to a wing. It's hard to justify drafting him at all. -
