After two fruitless seasons at GWS where he was played out of position on rare excursions at senior level, Aiden Bonar arrives at Arden St which has a long line of alumni who showed flashes off a HFF but could never cement a spot. His NEAFL output actually dropped last season, though 18 disposals and 79 fantasy points was not that bad. Despite hype over his forward play, his goal tallies are minimal.Bonar is a formidable athlete with spring and acceleration like few others in the league, but fast twitch muscle fibres are not the only asset you need to succeed at the top level. The incumbents on the flanks at North are not locked into best 22 spots by any measure, though perhaps Bonar might aim more at rotating through the middle to become an inside-outside burst player. He's worth a flier pick at worst. -
