buckley is out this week (groin) does anyone know how bad the injury is? .. its the first ive heard of him being injured.  my mid bench is buckley(mpp with a buch of backmen) bewick and atley..now like alot of people i'm considering the libba and curnow trades..if buckley is out for a few weeks, and he might not be able to break back into a full strenght pies team.. i really dont need a relton again this year.

i actually wonder whether it is an injury, or just general soreness. he hasn't been too bad but now maxwell is back in I'm worried. might be tough for him to get back in when he's 'better'

I'm keeping him and just making the one trade this week. If I made another it would be Buckley- Liberatore. I'm hopeful that Buckley will be back at some point and the extra trade at the business end of things will serve me well.

I agree with Wes, I wonder if he's actually injured.
I have a sneaky suspicion that he's not and this is a strategy we'll see all year.
Buckley plays in the "too easy" games and gets some games under his belt.
Davis is rested in between and is brought in for the "must win" games.

You reckon Leon is that good these days?
I know Pies fans don't like Buckley, but come on, he's been good pre-season and so far this season.
Leon is new to the back role, I'm not sure if he can adjust that easily.

Started Buckley as a back, with Goddard as a mid. So I'm gonna use MPP to swap them, so I can essentially play Liber in the guts instead of Duigan in defence. I have great cover in my mids, but my def cover is struggling at the minute (Rance & Buckley).

Ridiculous.
Professional game. Best player picked every week.

he wont see another senior game this year imo

I find it very hard to believe that he will find his way back into the best team in the comp isn't this the same bloke who couldn't get a game at melbourne?

tferrier18

I highly doubt that Buckley is injured. Collingwood have previously listed players as injured when in fact they've been dropped so I wouldn't at all be surprised if that's what they've done this time.

Buckley won't find his way back into the side unless there are injuries. It doesn't matter how good his pre-season form has been, there are much better players in front of him in our backline.

Re: Davis...He was sick for round 1 with a bad cold so was brought back through the vfl in round 2. It's not as if he's only played in must-win games and rested in collingwood's 'easy games'.

well i decided to burn the trades, atley and buckley out, libba and curnow in.. curnow's 100 is a good start, though he was on the bench,,with libba vs GC think it was a fairly obvious decision to put him on the ground,,,oh well  cash up my little cows cash up..  anyhow if buckley gets named again in a few weeks, he will be a good downgrade bubble boy.

reesbr

i dont see buckley getting named any time soon

cortez

He will find it hard to break back into that side if they jedi playing like they are.

diddley

it will be hard to get back in, esp seeing maxwell is back now.
