My understanding is that if you do not have veteran players on your list you can promote to fill your list.  This had to be done by 2pm today.  These players are eligible to play all season.

If a club has an LTI (8 weeks minimum on injury list) then another rookie can be promoted for cover for the period the player is on LTI list.  This can happen at any time during the season.

At round 11 another rookie can be elevated for the remainder of the season with no restrictions.

This mean Silvagni can still be elevated for an LTI  "With Dean Solomon retiring and Scott Thornton, Tim Ruffles and Antoni Grover all on the long-term injury list, Fremantle has another four senior list spots available for rookie elevations."

valkorum

That's correct, but they can only be elevated for the time of the LTI

Unless I missed it no Cameron C or H named at Power? Or was 1 put on earlier?

Cicjose

how is this going to affect your teams? will we jump on garlett or roberts instead of hitchcock.
will we pick howlett instead of JKT, Polak instead of davis or sullivan instead of mcevoy and warnock?

Port as 2 veterans (Tredrea and C Cornes) so not eligible for this elevation.  Still can elevate for LTI, although Rodan's comeback is ruining one chance.  Not sure of other injuries.

I read the article on AFL.com about this so forgive my ignorance, but can teams with players on the LTI elevate rookies at ANY time ie on wednesday before Round 1?

I think that is correct.  The only firm deadlines were today for teams with no veterans on their list and after round 11 with one for each team.  LTI elevation occur whenever the club feels like announcing it.

Thanks Resch, I thought I was right... Now I can breathe easy for another week!
