Based on the traditional Port Adelaide Magpies strip, this is the home and away guernsey for the Buenos Aires Armadillos. AFL club North Melbourne have been bagged for wearing something similar, but the Aramdillos believe they will not be given the same reception.

Match Reviews:

Round 1:

Buenos Aires Armadillos (26.13.169) defeated Dublin Destroyers (20.13.133)

We got off to a killer start in this game with a score of 169. Great contribution across the board. We pushed hard through all 4 quarters. Dublin started well early after 2 goals in the first 3 minutes but that's the only time they were in the lead. Chasing tail for the entire rest of the game as our midfielders were led by Barlow and Swan and just gave too much quality ball to our forwards

Round 2:

Buenos Aires Armadillos (21.17.143) defeated Cairo Sands (20.13.133)

Best
Buenos Aires: K Cornes, D Cox, P Chapman, D Swan, D Cross

This game was tighter than our 1st round encounter going down to the wire.

Believe it or not the head coach was worried about this game right from the first bounce.

After scores being level at 73-73 at half time, the Dillos coach pulled out a below average half time talk seeing the Dillos go into the final change down 95 to 123.

The Dillos managed to pull it out after being handed brown paper bags especially Chapman who smashed out 3 final quarter goals to see the Dillos get up

Round 3:

Buenos Aires Armadillos (20.13.133) lost to Moscow Spetsnaz (21.13.139)

Best
Buenos Aires: D Cox, K Cornes, M Barlow

Dillos got off to a terrible start trailing 10 - 45 at the first change. Managing to peg it back to 45-57 at half time. Trailing by only 2 goals the Dillos were confident they could overrun them.

At the final change it was 103-103 each, after a huge scoring 3rd quarter.

After being 133-133 with only 45 seconds to go Dillos were confident of a draw. However a mark on the siren and goal by Spetznas' Darling saw them win by a goal

Round 4:

Buenos Aires Armadillos (28.19.187) defeated Toronto Wolves (20.16.136)

Best
Buenos Aires: D Swan, SD Thompson, K Cornes, S Burgoyne, D Petrie, P Chapman

This was a great match for the Dillos.

Leading at every change and winning the final quarter by 20 points. The Wolves were never in it.

Just like wolves they were howling, however not that the moon, it was at their terrible performance at which they howled.

Dominant performance by the Dillos all over the field saw them score the highest ever Worlds score.

Round 5:

Sao Paulo Pumas (25.14.164) defeated Buenos Aires Armadillos (22.23.155)

Buenos Aires: S Johnson, D Swan, M Boyd, D Cox, R Warnock

This match was always going to be tight. It was great to see Warnock getting a game and in one where he destroyed it.

This match was close all game long with it being very tight for first 4 quarters. However the home crowd and captain Ablett managed to get the Pumas over the line. An 11 possession final quarter from Ablett managed to get the Pumas over the line. The Dillos came awa feeling robbed in this match. A match they should have rightfully won.

Round 6:

Beijing Bears (16.21.117) lost to Buenos Aires Armadillos (24.12.156)

Best

Buenos Aires: D Cox, K Cornes, S Johnson, D Petrie, D Swan, R Warnock, J Schulz, H Scotland, M Boyd

A match where the opposition were never really a chance. Our forwards fired, our mids fired, our ruckman fired and even our backline fired.

We were hot all over the field from D. Cox all the way back to Heath Scotland.

This was a real team performance in what was expected and turned out to be a very easy game.

Round 7:

Buenos Aires Armadillos (24.18.162) defeated Pacific Islanders (17.17.119)

Best
Buenos Aires: R Warnock, J Schulz, S Johnson, D Petrie, B Harvey, Jarred Brennan, M Barlow, K Cornes

Another match where the Dillos ran rings around their opponents.

After getting B. Harvey back from his 6 match ban the Dillos were looking stronger than ever.

After scoring 100-5 in the first quarter the Dillos took it easy and won comfortably. Only scoring 62 points in the final quarter wasn't an issue as they knew they had a subpar opponent already beat.

Great to see Warnock fire again, bringing himself into B&F contention.

Round 8:

Buenos Aires Armadillos (21.18.144) defeated PNL Reindeers (16.13.109)

Best
Buenos Aires: B Harvey, M Barlow, S Burgoyne

This was a comfortable win for the Dillos.

We didn't play our best but we still pulled a solid score together from the few players who did who up.

Fortunately we didn't have a very strong opposition and we managed to reap the benefits.

After controlling the entire game we pulled a tidy win out of it.

Round 9:

London Royals (20.20.140) lost to Buenos Aires Armadillos (21.18.144)

Best
Buenos Aires: M Boyd, S Johnson, M Barlow, D Petrie, D Cox

Boys really turned it out here. It was hammer and tong the whole game through. We had to struggle throughout the entire game

Coming into the final quarter the Dillos were looking unlikely but then a fortunate Matt Broadbent vest assured us the victory.

The London home crowd were screaming for blood but Matthew Boyd lifted the boys off the mat and showed us to victory in his return to form. It was a beautiful performance by him and one the boys all loved seeing.

Round 10:

Buenos Aires Armadillos (25.14.164) defeated Berlin Brewers (20.21.141)

Best
Buenos Aires: D Petrie, M Barlow, B Harvey, D Swan, SD Thompson, K Cornes, T Logan

A match where the boys all performed. Tom Logan playing in one of his few matches of the season. He was a stellar addition especially for this week.

Performances across the board were solid with mids, forwards and defenders all firing.

A commanding performance from Petrie made sure of a comfy, although not huge victory for the Dillos. Berlin were a very tough opponent

Round 11:

Cape Town Cobras (19.14.128) lost to Buenos Aires Armadillos (24.16.160)

Best
Buenos Aires: D Swan, D Cox, K Cornes, M Barlow, S Johnson, J Schulz, SD Thompson

A huge week for the Dillos where even an O'Shea monster debut couldn't get them victory.

The Dillos were just too strong and continued to fight throughout.

With Warnock a late out Dean Cox was thrust into the ruck and really controlled the game from there. He was able to ensure first possession for our boys at nearly ever bounce.

Dane Swan put on a real captain performance and showed the boys how it was done.

Round 12:

Buenos Aires Armadillos (18.4.112) defeated New Delhi Tigers (14.12.96)

Best
Buenos Aires: D Petrie, SD Thompson, B Harvey, K Cornes, D Cox
New Delhi: R Bastinac, G Ibbotson

Despite a few boys getting lost on the way to the ground and Dalziell and Tunbridge showing up after 3qt we managed to pull out a lucky win. We were lucky the Tigers were off the game and we were really showed the way by Petrie here

Such a team performance by him got us a lucky victory.
