ANGUS Monfries and John Butcher will return to Port Adelaide’s NAB Cup side against Sydney at AAMI Stadium on Saturday.

Monfries was a standout in the club’s opening round NAB Cup matches against St Kilda and Adelaide before suffering a hamstring strain in the final minutes against the Crows.

Butcher has recovered from hip surgery undergone in August 2012.

They headline the return of three other plays including previously injured ruckman Brent Renouf, midfielder Matt Thomas and tall forward Daniel Stewart.

It will be the first time that the ruck trio of Renouf, Jarrad Redden and Matthew Lobbe have taken the field together.

Jay Schulz and Paul Stewart have been rested from this game, along with Darren Pfeiffer and Brendon Ah Chee.

Im pretty sure Sydney's only in will be Smith for AJ. Morton and Mattner will most likely play in the 2s

tbagrocks

Monfries has been in and out and in and out of my team, darg nammit

How will Cambell Heath and Lewis Stevenson fit into the round one has my attention, Neade could be our forward savior

Which bluddy ruck will they go with ::)

Ricochet

Stevenson sounds like a lock

Speaking on @HarfTimeSEN, Ken Hinkley nominates Pittard, Stevenson and Wines as the @PAFC must-haves in #AFLFantasy. No mention of Mitchell.

Smith and Mattner in, Pyke out to be with his wife giving birth.

Will be good to see Rampe get another run and looking forward to Mummy getting some minutes in his legs too

Capper

Good to see Brownie get a game, could be a straight swap for AJ. No Teddles or Pyke, will be interesting to see if Mummy can play the whole game, after only playing 1/4 last week.

BTW Shaw is No.2 not No.1

Because Mitchell isn't a must have as most people think he is.

John Butcher would be a great F6 if you were to take a few risks. If he can remain injury free he will become a great cash cow.

Windigo

Pittard first goal.

Wines, Stevenson & Neade off to good starts.

Kane Mitchell is sub..

Where are you getting this info, Windi?

Twitter.  8)

Score is 10-18 Port's way.

"Colquhoun doing ok. Armstrong getting a few touches across half back."

tbagrocks

Col keeps getting the footy, Hartlett gunning and Port playing well, Sydney not too interested

Redden also competitive

tbagrocks

Don't think Port are any closser on a main ruck, both good today, Hartlett and Wingard good, Boak a star, Ebert good, Tom Jonas playing well on Goodes :o  Pittard is locked
