****UPDATED****

Backs - Goddard, Gibbs, Hartlett,  Hanley , Goodes, Stevenson (Colquon, Terlich)

Mids - Ablett, Swan, Cotchin, JPK, Moloney, Wines, O'Meara, Viney (Crouch, Mitchell)

Rucks - Jacobs, Leunberger(Currie, Rowe)

Fwds - Cox, Walker, Rockliff, Watts, Karnezis, Macaffer (Lee, Neade)

not enough cash to get Zorko so have to settle on Rockliff, unless a fwd rookie at around 114k or under is named. Taking a chance on Leuy. has an extra week to recover so hope all goes well there. Dropped Franklin which could bite me in the ass.. Watts seems to be in terrific form and was last year so hopefully he could improve a bit more.

Still tossing up between
Hartlett & Hanley vs Duffield & Grimes

thoughts fellas?? tinkrered too much perhaps??

HotTiges

anyone care to comment??

thinking about

Walker vs Franklin
Molney vs Lucas
Hanley/Hartlett vs Yarran

Converted

Mate - took me a good 5 mins to read through this thread! To much tinkering!!!!
When you choose a player you should pick him for whatever reason (Value, Proven Gun, Personal favourite, good pre-season etc). But most of all you should choose a starting line-up on what you think will perform!

In saying that - here's my two sense for good measure.

- replace Colq with Pittard in defence. Look at Vlastuin and Luke Brown from Adelaide as the other two viable defender rooks. Is four def premos a viable strategy, especially now with Leunberger with some question marks. Hanley a top pick IMO.
- no issues with the midfield, top guns. Very common premos would be my only concern.
- Jacobs = nice and Leu is questionable, if he does start round 2 or 3 he will definitely need a few weeks to get going, reassess closer to round one.
- Cox, Walker, Rocky all good picks. F6-8 solid obvious question marks over Watts - will have good games along with quiet ones. Definitely consider him as an upgrade target if he is firing. JJKennedy will be a good stepping stone to a prem in opinion. Otherwise try and get Franklin in there asap, will be number one forward or thereabouts.

Good luck and stick to your guns!

Love the backline.

The 'Haitches' can be considered keepers, so stick with them - or get a rookie so you can spend elsewhere and save trades.

Moloney too $$$ - downgrade please.

Here's hoping Leue is back on track.

Moloney out for a rookie and get Zorko and upgrade Watts too while you're at it.

I'd prefer Buddy, but I've got Tex as well.

Keep tinkering. You know you like it.

what do you reckon for Moloney? Lucas? or rook? feel my mids feel pretty weak with Moloney downgraded at m5 might work though.. would allow me to get Franklin though..

tor01doc

Lucas is fine.

Better off getting Buddy now as his chance of being a keeper (and saving you trades) is a bit higher than the chances of Moloney being there later.

Also, a well chosen rookie will make more money, making it easier to grab an elite guy later.

4 top mids is enough to start with your other lines being so well chosen.

Your other option of course, is to drop an 'aitch and keep mid gus at 4 1/2 - 5 with say Mundy / Fyfe / Jack etc?

Not sure about Moloney.  Will he give you much more than a rookie?

Forwards and backs are strong. If you can afford Buddy then get him, but I'm not sure he'll be much more consistent than Walker, just prone to higher scores when he's on. I probably prefer Blivacs as back up for Leuey but it's up to you.  Keep an eye on who gets named this week.  Overall nice team.

Ahh 400 bucks short of doing moloney and watts to Lucas and buddy!next best idea is get vlausten in for moloney, start Mitchell and get buddy

HotTiges

Hmm vlausten dpp mids link and karnezis vs Lucas and Byrnes..bloody tough one

tor01doc

DPP link not so crucial.

Vlastuin is also pricey.

Byrnes, Varcoe, Karnezis all just letting you avoid fielding a rookie and will make a bit of money - none will be keepers.

Buddy will be!

Just don't fancy byrnesy over karnezis.other move to get Lucas in is to downgrade hart or Han to grimes

tor01doc

Can't see Lucas being a lot better than some good rooks

HotTiges

Yeah been thinking about where he would fit into mick's plans tbh.suppose Whitfield or someone cheaper would be the way to go.genuine 1st year rookie vs 3rd year player really

Samsturmfels

Great team!
U should get blicavs in the ruck
