BRISBANE LIONS

Track Watch
Last year belonged to Dayne Beams, but this year brother Claye could breakout.

The young midfielder has been on fire over summer, while Mitch Golby has been outstanding.

Club champion Joel Patfull hasn't missed a session and is primed for another big year, while former Demon Brent Moloney should make an instant impact as a crash-and-bash onballer.

COTTON WOOL: Simon Black (knee) will miss the NAB Cup but is hopeful of playing Round 1, while Matthew Leuenberger (achilles) should return in early March. Jesse O'Brien (groin) is also set to miss the bulk of the NAB Cup.

DREAM TEAM TIP: Sam Docherty is in amazing condition and if he impresses in his NAB Cup debut, lock him in.

The 2011 first round pick was cruelled by hip surgery last year, but has blitzed this pre-season and should be a bargain midfielder.

ROLE CHANGE: Pat Karnezis has boosted his aerobic base and will push into the midfield/half-forward line this year. Similarly, coach

Michael Voss is set to unleash Irishman Pearce Hanley further up the field after his standout 2012 in defence

GM

Yeah nice write up Rico,
How many Lions is too many?
RedRock Berger combo + Docherty surely is enough.
Hanley yes supercoach,Golby, Hmm, na.

Mr.Craig

It's a shame Beams isn't 100k cheaper, I might have had a nibble.

GM

The closer it gets to the season proper the more uncertain i feel about having Berger starting at R2.

Windigo

Then teams would have two premo rucks or gamble with a mid pricer.

GM

So are we all feeling the same.Beacuse if hes not right and tbh just starting in march does not give you much confidence of him punching out 80+ early, then, well, more mid price mayhem, somewhere.

Ziplock

if he's not named round one, what do people think of martin as an alternative?

I'm trying not to think about it, but yeah that seems like an option.
