Moving up the rankings with very aggressive trading.  Had very good pickups of vlastuin and ellis which i am very happy about.  When gibbs plays, should add another 30 ppg as well to the team.

So my current trades are: Neade + Jones > Nic Nat + Thurlow (goodes to mids).

Anyone else have any other trading ideas?  Thanks for help

a. So who is this mystery 'S' at FWD # 4?
b. You're missing a FWD rookie, maybe?
c. You have B. Goodes on field in the MID's but he's rookie listed so can't play.

THanks about goodes.  I will change him if he doesnt play rnd1 obviously.  But he is a mature aged rookie so I think he will be promoted pretty quickly.

Solid team -  Structure is sound and will be used by most teams.

Can not argue with prems. Trust your hunch with Shuey is correct but sound choice.


Watch rookies for promotion and being named in Round 1 so not commenting on choices.

Changed a few things around and decided with less risk.  Wanted less risk and decided to have the big men in the forward line.  Also stevie j out for a week really stuffed with my plans :/.  Stevie j definitely first upgrade.  Not a fan or martin.  Hasnt impressed me enough in the all-stars game and the round robins. 

I am really liking the 4 locks plus one midpricer in the fwds due to lack of rookies.

I know franklin has a shower draw and he wasnt in my initial team.  But this saves me a trade and I know I will get him later so I can plan on getting other breakout players sooner.  I got beams and sidey in at around round 5 last year and that was what pretty much kept me in the game.

Staker was expected out for a while due to his knee surgery a couple of weeks ago and won't be ready for the start of the season

Backs: Strong defence alot of team will have those first 4. not so sure about Docherty being in the Starting 22 after last night didn't do much.
Mids: Looks great you could easily downgrade to Moloney and i believe you wouldn't lose much as after seeing how he went against the Hawks he is heading for a big year.
Rucks: Jacobs is becoming a popular pick
Fwds: I am suprised teams have still got Staker in there teams replace him with Neade or maybe Paparone

Hi,  here is my NAB cup post round 3 team before team announcement in less than 2 weeks :).



What do you guys think of the team?  I have gone with a few different premium PODs:

Ryder (6%)

I am still not happy with the berger.  I wouldnt be surprised if he gets vested in his first few games back.

Hey all,
My final team, depending on late exclusions.  I changed a bit up to get a few more pods and some midprices.  I didnt do the guns/rookies strategy and went the 4-5 mid-pricer route to try and be lucky and snag a few.  Seeing jacks new role in defence and he killed in the NAB cup I am taking a massive punt on him.  I may move him forward, but what other rookies have good JS???

Ok, i started the season very poorly choosing karny, watts and a few other lemons (f u franklin). 

I am starting to see some decent scores and am finally moving up the rankings.  My current team is as follows:

M: GAJ, Swan, Pendles, Selwood, Danger, Shuey, O'meara, M Jones (Evans Brown)
R: McEvoy, Luey (Gawn Daw)
F: Cox, Bartel, Martin, JJK, Franklin, Neade (Caff, Kennedy)

20 trades 20K remaining.  I have done 0 sideways trades (corrections for karny and watts though) this season which I am happy about.

How do I go about getting a great team??  I have the next 5-6 trades planned and was wondering if the theory is correct

R8. Neade + Stevenson > Daisy + thurlow (Port rookies on bubble, F6 causing me to lose 50-60 ppg, cant afford SJ or Rocky)

R9. Unsure on this round (i could trade omera early than planned to get jobe in, but 5 RD 13 mid prems is a bit much)

RD10. Gawn + JJK > Nc Nat/SJ/Rocky + DPP cheap ruck

RD 11.  Double downgrade for cash in bye rounds

RD 12. Shuey > Cotch, Terlich > Birchall

RD 13. Omera > JPK, (downgrade a rookie if I dont have enough cash)

RD 14. Trade Jones + Evans > Jobe + rookie. (if I didnt do

RD 15. Fix backlink

RD 16. Onwards luxury trades + injuries + finals.
