Thoughts
Mitchell is one of the stars of the competition and has been a SC gun for years now, surprisingly though he has often been a fairly unique pick. His average has dropped under the 100 mark just once (99) since 2005, Mitchell is a tough contested ball winner and a clearance king, dubbed the “extractor” by Brian Taylor, a strong tackler and accumulates disposals as good as anyone. His 15 tons in 2012 was extremely good, while even his quiet games would still bring in 80+ points, and yes dare I say it he has now turned 30, an age that can scare many coaches both fantasy and AFL, but Mitchell will no doubt continue to churn out huge and consistent scores, also a very durable player.

Verdict
I had him last year and he served me very well and was often a great POD especially early in the season, simply a gun, won’t let you down.

Prediction

The_Captain

I think he may be a good upgrade target. Maybe as that 5th or 6th mid come the back half of the year.

Will be one of a handfull of guys I look at upgrading to in M5-6, but not a starter.

shorty3264

yeh, I won't be starting with him this year, so many premium midfielders, will be a good unique upgrade target.

quinny88

definitely not a starter but will keep an eye on him throughout the season

Adamant

Think Mitchy might be past his SC best, will look at him as an upgrade target if he can still match it with the best though.
