Thoughts
Suckling had a rather inconsistent 2012 after a great year in 2011, he started the year in similar fashion but his back end of the year was extremely disappointing, averaging just 69.6 in the final eight rounds. He is the type of defender you want in your side, the Hawks love the ball in his hands with his lovely foot skills, but for mine he is much too hot and cold, highlighted by his seven tons but a dismal four scores below 50. He doesn’t win enough of his own ball and can drift totally out of matches.

Verdict

A very frustrating fantasy player, is at a tempting price for what he is capable of and is only 24 years of age. But I’d steer clear, not reliable enough. I’d look to his partner in crime Grant Birchall as a better option.

yeah i had a choice between him and Birchall during the season when priced about the same time i chose Suckling lol one of my worst trades for the year

he is not a bad POD but i very much doubt i'll be starting with him

Jay

Could prove a bargain if he returns to 2011 form. Sneaky POD, but unlikely I will be starting with him, just way too frustrating

Nige

I like Suckling as a player but I'd probably look to Birchall like I did last year.

+ Suckling is frustrating. Would rather Birchall, who is a lot more consistent

Adamant

Way too inconsistent, and burnt me in the finals this year...mabye as a unique upgrade target.
