Tom Hickey
Price: $305,900 (Fan planner)
2012 Games: 10
2012 Ave: 57
2011 Games: 2
2011 Ave: 52
Position: Ruck

Hickey is a great pick up for the Saints and he will really help the Saints weak ruck division, but he is not someone who should feature in SuperCoach side just as yet. Hickey will be fighting with McEvoy for ruck time at the Saints next year and at over $300k there are better ruck options like Matthew Leunberger.

The young ruckmen hasn’t scored to well in SuperCoach as yet, but at the age of 21, I expect plenty of improvement from him. Hickey only played the 10 games in 2012 and averaged 57. Out of the 10 games, he scored under 60 points in 7 games so isn’t a big SuperCoach scorer.

Hickey is a fantastic young prospect for the Saints, but I would give him another year or two to bulk up and gain experience before you consider him in your SuperCoach side.

With Hickey leaving, it’s good news for other Suns Ruckmen Zac Smith and Daniel Gorringe who will both be given more game time next season as the result of Hickey’s departure. Gorringe will be cheap and could be a good ruck bench option in your SuperCoach side.

2013 Supercoach Point Average Prediction: 70-75

Mailman the 2nd

Won't really consider him at all but hopefully he can prove a few things next year that might make me look at him in the future

Yep wouldn't consider him this year, but can see him being a great player for the Saints!

Saints have had a recent history of drafting/trading in players that have been largely ineffective though  :-X

Fingers crossed
