Thoughts

At a touch over 360k Jack Hombsch looks like a great way to sink cash in your starting side.
He showed a lot in his debut season, and I think that down the road he'll prove a great fantasy scorers and will likely feature in a lot of fantasy teams a few years down the road.

One thing you can bet on from Jack is getting the 50-70 you paid for, his standard deviation is extremely low even for a player averaging under 70.

But ultimately it's unlikely 2013 is going to be his year, if I was going to take a risk like this I'd much rather take the punt on Brodie Smith or Chris Yarran.

...Or Mitch Brown.

Look out for him in 2015 though, this kid is a jet and I'll back him to become a D premium.

Verdict

No for me unless he shows exceptional preseason form. There are better options at the price.

Prediction

73.

Adamant

Would definitely rather Yarran at that price.

+ 1 Yarran is a way safer option but Hombsch should be a premium back in a few years. Btw nice were up Sid!

Hombsch's Drummond-like left boot makes him a supercoach gun in the making. Already averages 10 more in SC than DT due to his effective long kicking. If he can lift his average possession rate to around 18 he will average 80. JS is still an issue so he's a risk not worth taking this year.

Better than Brodie!

He will be better at Port, but still wont be going near him :P

would his JS be better or worse at Port?
With Chaplin gone I think there's a spot for him. He's a pretty good player and is definitely the kind of kid that Port should be pumping games into.
Expect him to play most weeks. I might be overrating him because I like him so much though.

A little better. Port wouldn't bring him over for no reason. Will play the same role as Chaplin

Much much better.
Still think he should have played more at GWS.

Bizarre. :o

Maybe hit CTRL+A accidentally or something. :-/

Nonetheless Hombsch --> Port = Good seems to be the consensus. :)
