Brent Moloney - Brisbane Lions

Price - $309,200

Position - Mid

Games 2011 - 22

Games 2012 - 15

Average 2011 - 88

Average 2012 - 59

2012 high score - 90

2012 low score - 24

Summary - Moloney has signed with the Brisbane Lions. I think this will limit his scores with the likes of Rockliff, Rich, Redden and Black.

Verdict - Nope, to many other midpricers out there

Predicted Average - 75

very underpriced tho! i think i'd avoid as well but i'm not fully dismissing at this stage.

I think it is Black mainly that will hurt his scores, they both play similar roles of an inside midfielder. You'd think he would also reduce Rocky's midfield time. I think he could be a decent alternative to Embley or Ball as a M5 so I'll watch with interest over the pre season

Voss did say something about giving Black the vest, Didn't he? If he did that would help Moloney

Not for me when you can have Ball for 60k cheaper and about 10-15 ppg higher....having said that, I wont be starting with any mid-pricers in the mids.

Still a chance to make my side
+1

I reckon he's got a lot to prove. One to watch for sure!

Hope he does well for my Asians team though...handy backup.

Certainly on my radar, he will have something to prove, will depend on where Voss does decide to play him

The bolded bit x 1000

That price is appealing and be watching pre-season to see how they plan on using him.

Being in a midfield with rich may complement him next year imo! Definately on my radar, has shown he can score well with that 88 average in 2011. He may roam free with rich in the team next year being the most damaging player.

Loving this acquisition by the Lions.  ;D

Sometimes the Lions were criticized because they didn't have enough inside players to help out Black, Moloney will be a great benefit for Redden, Rock & Rich IMO.  8)
