Josh Gibson would be more excited than anyone on the planet over the announcement of Brian Lake signing on with the Hawks for 2013. For Gibbo this means he can do what he does best.. float around the backline, going third man up at contests, racking up possessions and not being locked away on a tall forward. Gibson had a solid year in 2011 averaging just under 90 but dropped more than 10 ppg in season 2012. Next year im predicting another rise. Weather that can be enough to make him a solid selection in our supercoach teams is yet to be seen. He is too much of a risk to start (unless he was to put up some big scores in the nab cup) but he may well be a a very nice possible upgrade target at some stage in the season if he plays the role that he should.

Predicted avg: 90- 95

Not for me at that price. I'd rather take the punt on a Yarran or Smith and save a bit of cash.

Yeah I certainly wont start with him but will be watching him closely as an upgrade target at some point

Jroo

Now that Lake is at the Hawks Gibson could be a very nice POD! Will be on my SC radar

Adamant

I'll keep him shortlisted, but cant see myself starting with him...

Ricochet

mmm not for me at this stage unless he goes nuts in the NAB

Yeah, too expensive...

Not sure why everyone is afraid of Gibbo, much more creative freedom playing further up the ground.

All his shower SC scores this year:

R1: 66SC on Dawes and Paine: 1 goal between them
R4: 65SC on resting ruckman
R10: 45SC on Petrie: 1 goal
R14: 50SC loose in defense (to avoid selective stats)
R20: 48SC injured
R22: 45SC on Goodes: 2 goals
SF:  62SC on Walker: 4 goals
GF: 58SC on Goodes:  2 goals

True, but would rather play it safe and see how he goes.

didn't improve any but that might have been because of shoenmakers injury.
