Brad Ebert - Port Adelaide Power

Position: MID

Price: $511,400 (Fanplanner)

2011 Games: 21

2012 Games: 22

2011 Average: 62.2

2012 Average: 98.7

2012 Tons: 9 (and 5 x 94+)

Summary: A massive breakout year for the Ex-Eagle, improving his average by 36ppg to a respectable 98.7. Anyone who picked him up from the start would have been laughing. He had a very consistent year, scoring 91+ in 73% of his games and didnt drop below 82 until round 18. He has a relatively low ceiling though, with only 2 x 120+ scores (125 his season high).

Verdict: Despite being 22, I just cant see him improving enough to warrant a spot in the mids.

Ad's predicted average: 103

Found a home at port, if he gets some support could become a good option. Few years maybe when wingard has matured

Windigo

Would have been a great pick up this year, but is in an awkward bracket next year being he isn't an ultra premium player, yet.  :o

Yeah needs some support other than Boak to considerably lift his average. As the powers other young mids such as Jacobs and Wingard mature I will consider in the future.

I really like the look of Ebert and I think he will potentially be a captain option for Port down the track. In terms of DT I think his price is a bit prohibitive.  He probably can go to another level, but he will also no doubt start to get regularly tagged and this might mean its another year or two before he gets to that elite level.

Yep exactly Windigo
Won't go near Ebert next year

I... won't be touching any non-rookie, or non- discounted port players with a 10 foot pole.
