Travis Boak - Port Adelaide (requested by Barra)

Position: MID

Price: $430,600 (Fanplanner)

2011 Games: 21

2012 Games: 18

2011 Average: 86.2

2012 Average: 83.7

2012 Tons: 3

Summary: Not a bad player but not a DT star. Ended up lowering his mediocre 86 average in 2011 to a smidgen under 84 this year. He had one decent year in 2010 averaging 94.5 but even then, it's not the standard you need for a DT mid. Recently signed a new contract with the Power so there's no doubt over where he's playing but I don't think that's an excuse for a non-DT-friendly year...

Verdict: Nope. Not a premium mid and way too expensive for a midpricer.

LH's prediction: 85

I think e shoud ave 90+, but that's my opinion...

Adamant

Yeah, I reckon he can push 90+...would have considered if he moved, but no thanks at Port.

LaHug

Even if he pushes 90+, you wouldn't want him as a mid... I was also considering him if moved (what happened to the Geelong move?!) but not any more.

To even become viable he would need a remarkable improvement.

Windigo

Has averaged more in the past.

I think if he didn't play for Port he would average more.  :P

Toga

nice write up LaHug but yeah not for me

as others have said, would consider if he was at geelong but will still cop the #1 tag at port so won't be anywhere near good enough for a mid spot

No for me, like him as a player.
Thought he had some potential a few years back(never picked him) seems to struggle with or wiithout a  tag fro what I've seen.
Way too expensive and I dont think anyone should be picking him.

Capper

He would have been a yes if he went to the cats, but not looking to promising score wise at Port.

+1
Although he did avg 94 at Port...but still not enough to warrant a mid spot.

Holz

fyfe and mundy just cost a little bit more so no.

Scrads

Can't see him becoming a genuine DT option for the rest of his career tbh :(

Shihan7

No way for me. There are better options in the mids.
