Thought I'd kick things off with my favourite player in the AFL, the big palm tree.

2011:

Games played: 20

SC average: 93.8

2012:

Games played: 20

Average: 114.2

2013 predicted price: $590,000

Summary: Even if Jack Watts becomes everything Melbourne hope he becomes, picking him #1 over Nic Nat will forever hang over their heads as a shocking draft selection.  By the time Nic Nat decides to hang up the boots I expect him to have at least one brownlow, a couple of AFLPA MVP awards, at least 5 All Australian selections and 4 best and fairest to go along with the legacy of one of the best ruckmen to ever play the game. Nic Nat has athletic abilities superior to anyone to have ever played the game before him, an absolute freak of nature.

Verdict: Lock him in Eddie, started with him this year and was once of my best choices of the year, had the highest average of any ruck this year with his 114.8 and will keep improving as he takes over Cox as the #1 ruck at the eagles and the #1 ruck in the competition. May I remind you that this guy is still only 22 years of age, only has 76 games of AFL next to his name and still has loads of room for improvement. As a die-hard Essendon supporter this guy is by far my favourite player in the AFL to watch and will be in my SC team alongside Luenberger, Grundy and Vardy/Daniher come round 1 of next season.

2013 predicted average: 122

nice one.

would be a lock in most teams at this stage. even his bad games can manage decent scores. it's like everything he does is weighted much higher in sc points than others. and then there's that ridiculous ceiling he can reach multiple times per year. avg of 125+ I'm calling this year with some massive 165+s

I think we are looking at someone who could become one of the greatest ruckmen of all time, up there with Polly Farmer.

Probably everyone's first picked player of 2013. Lock.

For a guy to be this good at 22 with only 76 games under his belt and still a lot to learn about the game it will be scary how good he is. I expect him to go above and beyond Polly, Nic Nat is truly a once in a generation player with the potential to change the game forever. Love watching the bloke and, as Bachman-Turner Overdrive sang, you ain't seen nothing yet.

1st picked for me! Can't see anything other than an average around 120+ will score as good as a premium mid.

set and forget rucks again next year - NicNat is very hard to go past atm. the guy was able to play last year with a torn pec! - to add to his scoring ability the guy is solid as and seems very durable. for mine that is key when picking a ruck as a starter.

i started ryder and was very happy until he got injured. i wouldn't be scared of picking ryder again either.
