Danyle Pearce - Port Adelaide Power

Position: MID

Price: $345,700 (Fanplanner)

2011 Games: 19

2012 Games: 20

2011 Average: 73.9

2012 Average: 73.1

2012 Tons: 3

Summary: Okay, before I am verbally tortured I'd like to say I am only considering this lad if he is listed as BACK/MID. Has played plenty off half-back this year and lets be honest, its the only way we would ever pick him for DT... Even then. Only missed 6 games in the last 5 years so he's pretty good in that department... Only averaged in the 70's since 1006 though.

Verdict: Shorlisted if he's a backmen. Flower-no if he's a mid.

Ele's prediction: Make or break year for him and Port - 80 average.

Kellogscrunchynut

Even if he is named in defence I won't be selecting him at the start.

Adamant

Nice choice...unique!
Not sure about Pearce, will keep an eye on NAB cup....might sneak a spot (only if DEF/MID of course).

KoopKicka

Im more concerned about him being tagged.

Yeah thats a major issue. Doesn't handle it overly well :(

13Brummy

Might end up at a melbourne club next year which would improve his chances

Looks like he might have a decent role next year with Freo...

"He's been playing in defence recently for Port Adelaide, but we see an opportunity for him to play midfield and forward as well," he said.

"We think it's a great opportunity for him and a great asset for the club.

"His strengths are his speed and his ball use and we think that he's going to fit into the culture of our team.

He should have a bit of a better role in a better team but I still struggle to see him averaging over 80. Though if he does get back eligibility then he could be worth at least keeping an eye on

+1, he will be worth watching over the pre season to see what type of role he will play and whether or not other clubs put any effort into him.

Ricochet

is he a serious chance of getting dpp?

I would think it is pretty certain personally...

Adamant

Can see him lifting his average to 80 at Freo if he doesnt get any attention.

13Brummy

He's more of a chance now that he's changed clubs but I still don't trust Ross Lyon

Spinking

I would think his output will drop in Freo's lineup.  He might not get tagged as much, but he probably wont be in the guts as much either.
