Andrew Swallow - North Melbourne

Position: MID

Price: $484,500 (Fanplanner)

2011 Games: 22

2012 Games: 22

2011 Average: 99.3

2012 Average: 102.6

2012 Tons: 7 and some big ones too!!

Summary: Supremely consistent and a few big ones thrown in! What more do you want from a midfielder? Well, maybe around 15 more points per game but I feel that coming. Hasn't missed a game in 4 years and a gradual increase to an average over 100 this year. Major improvements for the Roos loom and I see El Captaino leading the way!

Verdict: Not my cup of tea but will have another very good year.

Ele's prediction: Average of 108 next year - said with confidence.

Adamant

Great write-up ele once again.
Not really a big Swallow fan, but can definitely see him pushing his average to 105+

KoopKicka

In VS or Sportsbet would be number one lock, not in DT though. Pass.

me

seems to be a better scorer in the 2nd half of seasons - so won't be starting with him

Windigo

I'm a big fan but don't think he will ever be elite....That being said he could do a Jobe. Be good without being outstanding then explode....

Heppell21

Big Swallow fan. Tackling king, Lock for me.

Spinking

Price is appealing. As above he probably isn't elite, but could maybe get there. Not for my team I wouldn't think...

elephants

Could actually breakout!?

If he lifts his average touches a game he could be elite. Tackles per game is insaaaane!

Ricochet

Not sure if I can fit the captain of the Bashers in ;)

Ajax22

His durability and price actually tempt me a bit. He's no. 3 in the tagging order at North behind Harvey and Wells isn't he? So not too much risk to be locked down each week?

Noz

Not for me this year can see him pushing for a 110 average though.

Yeah but Harvey is missing the first 6 games next season.
The tag has to go to someone else then.Maybe he could be an upgrade target.

Footy_Boiz

With guys like Murphy priced similar hard to see him getting a nod ahead of all the other premium mids. Shame because he's a great player

Shihan7

I love Swallow, but there are better options in the mids....

Toga

Definitely on my watchlist, could start as my M4... Think he can definitely improve his consistency next year as he leads from the front in an improving side!
