Hey guys, talking to Tom on FF chat and he's talking about him attending booze free parties (because he's underage, so it's still understandable) ...

He was talking about how there are non-booze parties still and whatnot...

I'm 22yo now and I cannot remember the last party I went to WITHOUT alcohol...

Do they still exist once you're 20 past? Am I the only one who can't remember a booze free party after 20yo?

TL;DR - Booze free parties, still in vogue past 20yo?

Tominator

I'd highly doubt it

You're clearly very bored Nails ahahahaha

Nails

Way you said it you sounded like you were saying there's 20yo+ booze frees...

I just want to see if people still hold booze free parties...

Tominator

yeah yeah I know that mate, but I doubt there are many booze-free parties once you hit 18, even less likely after 21

But that's just from what I've seen and heard cos I haven't been to many myself :P

I turned 20 in april, and the last alcohol free party I remember was, ironically, my 18th (I was one of the first to turn 18, and my dad wasnt comfortable with underage drinking + I had a bet with my cousin not to drink until I finished my HSC). Tbh, I can't see anyone having an alcohol free party, except for the following reasons.
1) you're a muslim, or a mormon, or jehova witness etc. etc. religious reasons
2) your parents are like super paranoid about the house being trashed, and have a really negative, stereotypical perspective of young people and alcohol. Or your parents are just massive control freak tossers. Comes down to the same thing.
3) you're an antisocial twat and/or (see point 2, substituting parents for yourself)
4) you're homeschooled (see 2,3 and tbh, probably one as well)

that is all.

lets get quenched.

About a month ago my wife and I got invited to a BBQ by a work colleague, who has recently moved to town. Tried to be a good guest so showed up with a carton of crownies and a couple of bottles of Sauv Blanc. They opened the door, saw the grog, and asked if we'd mind leaving it in the car as their religion didn't permit drinking.  :o

Didn't want to be rude so hung around for a couple of lemonades at what was the most awkward BBQ I've ever attended. No problems whatsoever with people who don't drink, just feels weird to have it outlawed at an Aussie BBQ... ;D

Believe it or not but i have been to a dry wedding. My cousin got married at the "Lighthouse Christian Centre" and you aren't allowed alcohol at the place. So during the night gradually more and more people went up to the pub for a sample.

I accidentally read that as "you're a muslim, or a moron". Does that make me a bad person? :P
