Scrads

Hey guys, just a thread to post our teams and watch them progress into full sides :)

Please post ONLY a post with your team in it, please no chatter in here just to keep it nice and tidy.

Atlanta Hawks
Coach: Scrads
Captain: Jobe Watson
Vice-Captain: Nick Riewoldt

FB: Josh Gibson - Daniel Talia - Paul Duffield

HB: Shaun Burgoyne - Harry Taylor - Greg Broughton

C: Nick Dal Santo - Luke Ball - David Mundy

HF: Matthew Wright - Nick Riewoldt(VC) - Josh Hill

FF: Eddie Betts - Taylor Walker - Jason Porplyzia

R: Shane Mumford - Jobe Watson(C) - Michael Barlow

I: Matthew Kreuzer - Liam Shiels - Clancee Pearce

S: Paul Puopolo

Team Rev-up:
Defence: The kick inside 50 has no chance of reaching opposition hands while Daniel Talia (A.K.A. Presti Jr.) blankets the opposition's best forward, whilst Josh Gibson and Harry Taylor are pretty much the 2 best aerial defenders in the comp which means no high ball will go un-spoiled. Burgoyne (class), Duffield and Broughton (used as he is meant to be used) all offer great rebound as well as Gibson and Taylor. Puopolo, Pearce and even NDS or Mundy can fill in down back if needed.
Midfield: The ruck duo of Mumford and Kreuzer is enviable, with Kreuzer in particular also able to lend a hand up forward. The grunt and class of my midfield is unrivalled. Watson, Ball, NDS, Mundy and Barlow will make sure every contested ball is won by us. They will also make sure the ball is disposed of with class and efficiency. Other players can rotate through the midfield to good effect such as Burgoyne, Broughton, Wright, Porplyzia, Puopolo and Pearce. Shiels excels at a tagging role where he also provides valuable attack going the other way.
Forward: The marking machines Riewoldt and Walker will love the superb delivery of my midfield. Kreuzer and Hill also provide marking options up forward. When the ball hits the deck, Eddie Betts will create a goal every time with the support of Porplyzia, Wright, Hill, Pearce, Puopolo and even Burgoyne or Broughton. Watson as we all know is also an exceptional forward.
Overall: The flexibility of my team is huge. There are very few one-position players in my team. My bench consists of a Ruck/Fwd, a Mid, a Back/Mid/Fwd and a Back/Mid/Fwd. The leadership of Watson and Riewoldt will do wonders for team morale.

Gentlemen, I introduce the newest Premiership Team.

HF: Jack Darling, Quinten Lynch, Luke Dahlhaus
FF: Ian Callinan,Jay Schulz, Mark Nicoski
R: Sam Jacobs, Dane Swan, Simon Black
I: Paul Stewart, Richard Douglas, Jeremy Howe
S: David Rodan

Captain: Simon Black
Vice Captains: Dane Swan and Leigh Montagna

To try and convince you to vote for my team Ive turned to the things that never lie, the stats, 21 of my players have played AFL this year (bar Nicoski)   My team kicks an average of 83 points a game, now that may not seem like a lot, but when you factor in that only 10 of my players have played more than 15 of those 19 games that’s pretty damn impressive, especially as only one of my 7 allocated forwards  has played every game (Jack Darling) and 1 hasn’t even played a game (Nicoski) My team has 2 Brownlow medalists, Two triple All-Australian medalists (Black and Swan) One Dual All-Australian medalist (Montagna) and a one-time All-Australian medalist (Rutten) Ive got speed out the backline in Houli, rebound kings in Drummond and Guerra, and KPP players in the backs in MacKenzie, Rutten and Laidlier. Got speed in the middle in Montagna and Douglas, a tackling machine in Ebert, an elite tagger in Sewell (with back up from Douglas), a possession slut in Swan and Extractors in Black and Swan. In the Ruck is big Sauce Jacobs, who leads the competition in hit out to advantage. With back up pinch-hitting from Lynch and Stewart. In the forwards is the legendary Q-stick accompanied by Schulz who can both easily kick a bag of 5 or more. On the flanks are dreadlocked wonder-kid Dahlhaus and goal-scoring and speed machine Darling. In the pockets are goalsneaks Callinan and Nicoski, also the human-highlight reel goalsneak Howe. My utility is Paul Stewart, who can play KPP at both ends of the ground AND pinch-hit in the ruck. One week he can do a magnificent shut-down role on a player and the next switch forward and kick 5 or more.
Thanks for reading.

TEAM: Chicago Bulls

B: Graham Johncock, Dustin Fletcher, Josh Hunt

HB: Heath Scotland, Ryan Schoenmakers, Andrew Mackie

C: James Kelly, Scott Thompson, Brent Harvey

HF: Brendan Whitecross, Jack Riewoldt, Jordan Lewis

F: Ben McGlynn, Mark LeCras, Jack Gunston

R: Patrick Ryder, Gary Ablett, Kane Cornes

INT: Will Minson, Liam Anthony, Danny Stanley
SUB: Stephen Hill

Captain: Gary Ablett
Vice-captain: Brent Harvey

TEAM SUMMARY:
In defence we have four times All-Australian Fletcher, the champion full back with Johncock & Hunt in the back pockets playing roles on the best small forwards. Up and coming Schoenmakers takes the opposition centre-half forward with Mackie & Scotland running off half-back repelling opposition attacks.

In the midfield we have stars Ablett, Thompson, Kelly, Harvey and Cornes feeding off supply from ruck combo Minson/Ryder and Cornes getting the tagging job when needed.

In the forward line we have Coleman medallist Riewoldt & Eagle LeCras at Centre-half forward and full-forward, both strong goal kickers. Then Hawks Lewis & Whitecross running off half forward and small forwards McGlynn & Gunston in the forward pockets, crumbing the ball.

To round out the team, we have a great young midfielder in Anthony, a second ruckman/forward in Minson, Stanley who can play forward or defence for the team, and finally Stephen Hill for the green vest, because of his amazing speed, he makes the perfect sub. 2009 Brownlow medallist Gary Ablett leads the team with Roos champion Brent Harvey the vice-captain.

The Chicago Bulls have seven All-Australian players led by Gary Ablet jnr(5), Dustin Fletcher & Brent Harvey(4),  James Kelly, Jack Riewoldt, Kane Cornes, Mark LeCras plus nominees; Scott Thompson, Andrew Mackie, Heath Scotland and many more stars that are rising.

We have plenty of versatility within the team, because many players can play more than one role, for example Lewis can be a second tagger, most midfielders and forwards can all switch positions at any time, we have two rucks rotating between the forward line and rucking. Really, the options are endless at our club, we could adapt our team to our advantage, yet the team will still have strengths and it just adds unpredictability that opposition teams won’t be able to handle.

A bit rushed but I've done my summary. Probably didn't get to include everything in, but wouldn't have been able to anyways  ::)

C: Kade Simpson - Scott Pendlebury - Nathan Jones

HF: Harley Bennell - Adam Goodes - Lewis Jetta

F: Robbie Gray - Mitch Clark - Luke Breust

R: Hamish Mcintosh - Andrew Swallow - Scott Selwood

Int: Matthew Broadbent - Tom Scully - Heath Hocking

Sub: David Mackay

Defence Twin towers Reid and Mcpharlin will keep any opposition key forwards quiet with Smith and Strats playing defensive shut down on opp dangerous smalls/meds. With the leadership, decision making and lethal left boots of Hodge and Neuman organising every rebound off the defensive 50.

Midfield Mids are well rounded with plenty of class from Pendles supported by the rest of my mids who are all a graders. Mixture of hard workers, hard tacklers and great outside runners with plenty of pace to burn. Complemented by Hmac in the ruck with Mitchy Clark pinch hitting.

Forwards Deadly line up forward with Clark and Goodes our twin towers and Breust and Gray crumbing their packs whilst we also have the class and pace of Jetta and Bennell chiming in with plenty of goals on the flanks.

Balance Team has amazing balance of in and unders, defensive and attacking players. Great pace so our spread will be awesome and unlike some of the other teams. No weak links.

Coach: Spinking
Captain: Nick Maxwell
Vice Captain: Dayne Beams

The Knicks have assembled a team capable of playing an attractive, free flowing and high scoring brand of football. It's defence is based around a mix of stoppers and running playmakers. Key plays are set up by Gibbs and Gram who have long accurate kicks out of defence.

The midfield boasts quality ruckmen in McEvoy and Hampson, and a mix of hard nosed inside players like Jarrad McVeigh and Dan Cross, with quality pace and goal scoring ability in Beams and Sidebottom.

The forward line boasts 3 strong marking forwards who all have accurate kicks, but most importantly a collection of the silkiest, most skilful small forwards available. Rioli, Stevie Johnson and Zaharakis will rotate through the midfield allowing great flexibility, and difficult matchups for any opponent.

LA Lakers
FB: Lachie Henderson, Michael Hurley, James Gwilt
HB: Matt Suckling, Heriter O'Brien, Sam Gilbert
C: Shane Tuck, Daniel Kerr, Matt Rosa
HF: Alan Didak, Jarrad Waite, Robin Nahas
F: Alex Fasolo, Jono Brown (VC), Stephen Milne
Foll: Aaron Sandilands, Marc Murphy (C), Rory Sloane
Bench: Nathan Van Berlo, Robbie Tarrant, Brent Prismall
Sub: Nathan Lovett Murray

From the first pick to the last, my team is strong.
B: Hurley, while also extremely good at playing forward, proved how good a backman he is early in his career. Henderson and Gwilt are very good as well, with the back 3 solid.
HB: Suckling, Gilbert, O'Brien. Enough to strike fear into any opposition. This wouldn't be a bad AA HB.
C: Tuck is a hard nut, Kerr is a freak and links with Rosa amazingly.
HF: With two of the most electric small men in the game at the moment, and Waite showing what he can do on the weekend, they form with the forwards a formidable forward 6.
F: Brown, one of the best power forwards of the past 10 years, with the best small forward in the game and the trickster himself crumbing off him, they form a goal machine.
With the best sub in the game, and Tarrant and Hurley so versatile, a captain of a club on my bench, and a premiership player, they provide great grunt.
