With Buddy looking unlikely this week, N Reiwoldt just hanging on and for some who have Martin getting a two week holiday I am surprised that there hasn't been much talk about the status of Chapman's injury.

Geelong didn't provide an injury list yesterday so all we know is that a groin injury was mentioned last week when he was left out. Groin's are rarely a 1 or 2 week issue so is there a danger of having to trade him out?

Actually was looking to bring Chappy in...sadly...just keeps getting worse this week.. :o

bluedreamin

I'm hoping the groin was just a smokescreen for resting Chappie against a weaker opponent... hoping!

Jormas

It was an excuse for a rest, might miss this week aswell due to playing GCS.

But, will probably give the others a rest: Kelly, Enright, Stevie J.

Shoudl come back IMO

T Dog

Stevie J ?? chances of me fielding a team this week rapidly disappearing..lol

Here's some info about chappy from HeraldSun

GEELONG has been given a clean bill of health ahead of Sundays clash with the Gold Coast Suns.

Midfielder Paul Chapman, who was a late scratching from the side'swin against Port Adelaide, will be fit to face the Suns at Metricon Stadium.

He completed the team's training session at Gold Coast club Broadbeach Cats and showed no signs of the groin problem that had been troubling him.

The Cats' only concern was over James Podsiadly who has an ankle niggle but is expected to line up in the forward line on Sunday.

No reliable source, and with Hawks playing GWS, i think he will get rested with a niggling Hammy..

+1 wouldn't surprise me at all if Buddy misses. They SAY playing GWS is not a reason to rest him. CRAP -  if it comes down to a situation of he COULD play but they'd rather rest him then he won't. As opposed to if they were playing Pies/WC/Sydney/Bombers/Cats/Crows where they WOULD play him.

hawthorn would be INSANE to play franklin this week

No reliable source to say they wont play either..

The scans showed there was no tear or bleeding on the hammy so it was just tightness.
He can sit in the square and kick a bag, would just about wrap the coleman medal up with another bag. He will want to play. Dont underestimate the importance of individual awards for guys like buddy

You make a good point. He will WANT to play to improve his chances of the Coleman. BUT that doesn't mean the club WILL play him.

Good to hear about Chappy, thanks for the confirmation guys.

Quinny you may feel bullish about Buddy but I hope you have some cover because he wont play this week.
