I'm unashamedly in a quandary, should I go to the footy or spend the entire day with my beautiful wife?

I have an extra ticket this week, so I can take my lad or my wife - or should I palm them off to someone else? - the tickets that is  ;)

We have been together for twenty years on Saturday and this scenario has reminded me of our first anniversary when me and the lads went to play snooker at The British working Men's Club at  Wingfield instead - something she has never let me forget.

I also have been given free movie tickets that must be used by Saturday....

What would you do?

If she likes the footy and goes for Crows or Tigers, take her to the footy.
Otherwise its a no brainer by me, to spend the day with her whatever she wants to do.

Footy is there for the rest of your life, Hopefully the wife will be as well.

Take the BOSS out for Dinner followed by the Movies followed by by a (Insert you know what WILL eventuate)
                                                   vs
Move over Muttly, this kennel is not built for the 2 of us.

Me on the other hand would give those Cow tickets away anyhow!!!! Next thing keep out of Wingfield as bordering on Ports turf.

Hope that I have helped. LOL

As someone who has been married for 35 years Roost you take every opportunity to cement the relationship so if she does not like the football (aka my wife) then Dinner and movies or a show are the best alternative.  Each year I try to arrange a show and dinner on our anniversary and it keeps all happy so I can get to my 11 home games each year.

Couldn't you take the Mrs out Friday and hit the footy Saturday?

Nails

You see your wife nearly every day of the year I imagine...

Adelaide don't play every day of the year, easy decision ;)

I think BGK is onto something, take her to dinner and maybe onto the Casino or a show, maybe a small piece of jewerly. Failing that enjoy your Saturday with the wife mate, it is only one day and the peace you get for the other 364 is well worth it lol. Congratulations on the Anniversary Mr & Mrs Rooster.

The die is cast,
My fate is sealed,
There will be tears,
Like an onion peeled.

I may regret,
What I have chosen,
She might forgive me,
When Hell has frozen.

I'm going to the footy,
Without the ball and chain,
Short term gain,
Long term pain.

The bigger picture,
Is that my lad,
Can go to the footy,
With his Dad.

I love my wife,
That much is true,
20 years on,
Stuck together like glue.

*Thanks for your advice - please note this may be my last post once the missus hears of my plan.

BGK

Good luck Roost. You are a pioneer for all us married men. I wait to hear of your progress. My decisions from now on will be based on your research into this.
