i've noticed that not many ff people have him in their teams at this stage. supposedly because of his price and because he will always be a juicy upgrade target if he shows to perform like we know he can.
did last night force anybody elses (hand as it has mine) to make him their number 1?

Justin Bieber

Upgrade I recon. I've decided to go Giles as number two so he would be my first preference to upgrade after the west coast bye.

So, Cox came into your hand after last night?  :-\

Memphistopheles

Already in my team from Day 1.

He's just a step above the other rucks and will outscore them consistently.

The other guy I like is Sandilands - did you see how many hit-outs he had in the shortened NAB Cup game against Essendon? He's  going to dominate.

Bahaha!
Upgrade lock for me. Rowe/Redden to Cox in round 12. Wish I could have him from the start but I can't (as much as I have tried) to justify paying 70-100k more than other ruck premiums.

sledgey7

but that means you are going to need to pay 70-100k more to upgrade to him. have your team better now or then. it makes no difference except this way you KNOW you have the best player in that position in your side from the get go.

Not necessarily. If he goes ahead and averages poorly (say 80) then he won't cost that extra 100k will he? Prices are allowed to change...

Coxy should dominate again but the only thing putting me off is how much time he spent in the forward line and that was without Nicnat  playing.

mike_3456

the best thing about big cox is he is also potent in the forward line, loving the +9's.

On the contrary, that was a good sign. They're going to rest him in the forward line hopefully where he can still rack up points, and goals. Unlike a lot of rucks that are rested on their bench where they can't score a lot.

Man this thread makes me wanna pick him... Damn you! :P

Surely the increasing price of the GWS rookies will mean that Cox needs to score above his average to maintain his cost (ala Swan etc in the mids)? Therefore, he will (in all likelihood) be a fair bit cheaper even if he punches out 100s every week.

Ziplock

*facepalm*

that doesn't matter.

I mean, personally I think he's over priced, but still, if he's scoring 110, he's the highest scoring ruckman in the competition.

the game is about points, not cash.
