Any feedback on ed curnow and rest of my team

Ok here is my first team before nab cup please rate for me and let me know what you think:

Defenders: G Broughton, D Heppell, J Grimes, T Goldsack, R Conca, B Lake, P davis
Bench: A Tomlinson, B Ellis

Midfield: S Pendlebury, N Dal Santo, R Okeefe, M Barlow, D Tyson, C Wingard
Bench: D Zorko, D Shiel

Rucks: P Ryder, Z Smith
Bench: J Giles, O Stephensen

Forwards: B Harvey, D Beams, M Hurley, E Betts, J Darling, J Koschitzke, A Kennedy
Bench: C Hampton, A Treloar

Salary cap: $46,600

Backs are quite weak, and althoug that might be a tactic of yours, i will just say that you will be considerably behind if each of your players dont average over 100, and the chance of that happening is most likely 1, 2 of your lucky, out of 7 defenders. 1. Get Goddard in there. 2. Start Tomilson, and downgrade Davis/Conca/Goldsack to a cheap rookie (one or 2 of those). if you do stick with any of your uniques, be sure, and watch NAB cup.
The midfield is almost fine, although i dont reccomend starting with ROK as his SC scores go on a rollercoaster, never consistent. pick him as he starts finding form.
Ryder could work, but not Smith. Smith was fine in our teams last year as he started at a rookie price, but we should be over him and i think West would be a abetter option.
in your fwd, heaps of cash, but no value. Harvey is Old, but MAY be ok. Beams is over-rated, dont expect a breakout year. Hurley may get a breakout year. Betts is old, and wont do well. Darling, like Smith, was good for value in his first year, but now you should look to pick up the next Darling at the cheap rooki price. Kozi is way past his prime. Look for 2 or 3 super-premiums (Franklin, Stevie J etc.). a unique (Hurley) and a mid-pricer (Brown).

bad team IMO i would get rid of Grimes, Goldsack, Lake, Davis. grimes too much risk for injury, goldsack is not a huge scorer, lake is past his best footy IMO and davis is a good player but not a huge scorer.

r okeefe shouldne be in mids he should be fwds if anything but he is getting old.im not set on tyson either

you should have at least 1 premo ruckman, i would lose smith and get a big man like cox, sandi etc ryder will do best out of him and smith i reckon. j mcdonald could be a good option and he's cheap.

Harvey, betts, darling, koschitzke are not good picks, harvey is too old, betts is not a good DT scorer, darling will not be very good, he did alright last season but that doesnt mean u should get him and kossie is not a dt scorer either, a solid first year 100-200k boy will get more than betts and kossie maybe even darling. porplyzia is not a bad option and he is just a tocuh over 200k

Before pre season. My strategy is to try and choose
A unique risky team instead of having the same
As everyone else like previous years just to get
That edge but as i said risky lol but thanks anyway

Still a little risky but managed to get some good
Premiums in my def, ruc and forwards and also a
Few more rookies and still got 144000 in salary
Cap so let us know where i should spend it
Or if i should keep it but i think this is it till nab
Cup. Also not too sure on falau wouldnt mind

Better side the second team, not being rude but the first would have been the GWS of SC.
Patton won't start til end of May or June, can down trade to him after he plays two games.
Similar situation with Gumbleton who won't be playing in the NAB. Treloar is said to be pretty
good and Kevin Sheedy has a huge opinion of Curtly Hampton F/M. If you have enough left,
as was mentioned by Its Me Lads, Justin Porplyzia will fit in nicely and make you some early cash
As for Folou, we both have him, Sheeds is keen on him also and has said that under normal circumstances he's a 22 gamer. Can't lose with him, at the worst he makes you plenty of cash. Cheers and good luck.                                  Oooooppssssssss

Well said.  Ditch Gumby and Patton, bring in someone like Porp and maybe consider trading out Bower as he may struggle for a game.  NAB cup should tell you more.   Other than that, not a bad unique team.
