I'm willing to take a punt on Didak, If he completes his pre-season and has a good nab cup his worth a look at.
Looking for any suggestions on my team, criticism anything!

Purple 77

Very interesting and unique team!
I love how you've got the Hamling and Rowe link in your team, im thinking about having a link like that.
I really like the Gilbert, Naitanui, Boak and Dangerfiled selections, mainly because i havent seen them in any other team. All big risks but CAN pay off if a good year is to be had. Just be wary that it can blow up in your face pretty badly, and i for one probably wouldn't have that many risky uniques, probably a lack of weet bix is to blame  :P

I think you can do better in the youth/cheapie department IMO. Coniglio will score well, but is just too expensive for a first year player, i think Tom Mitchell or James McDonald are probably better, cheaper, options that will save you about 70k, just like that, for a similar, same or better result. I think Docherty is under an injury cloud, but might still make it to nab cup. But if thats scared you off him, Luke Brown and Tim Golds and the best MPP replacements for him. Im also reluctant to pick high GWS draft picks, for i think they will clash and stop each other getting points, so im not picking Tomlinson, I think Morris is a better option, mature age player for richmond who is tipped to go well. Jonathon Patton is injured until may, so you need to get rid of him. I recommend either: Pfieffer (mid/for), Tom Couch(mid/for), Dayne Zorko (mid/for), or Billie Smedts (back/for), all tipped (not so much smedts), to have a good year.

But your premiums/mid pricers run deep in every position, so well done on the team!

Overall, i rate it potentially dominant but very risky

Hope i was helpful  :)

Hi Camstar1, I'll have a stab at commenting on your team tho a lot of what i say is oppions.

DEF: Deep strong Guns (4) grimes a good mid pricer if he looks the gods in nabcup he is a bargain. Lose tomlinson get mohr (GUN and cheaper)

MID: Boak is an interesting pick but could well pay off, Judd is a SC player, I would lose all your mid rooks for these clifton, shiel, mcdonald, zorko, especially coniglio, yeah he will be a gun but unless you are 99% sure he will be a heppell/curnow 2011 style keeper you are better off with a basic 104K rook.

RUCK: dont see nicknat being a premium keeper in 2012 so would not start him, would upgrade to a gun ruck like mumford, sandi, ect. think you need to have stephensen from the cats he will be a round 1 starter and will be sharing ruck duties with west.

FWD: very mid priced here but i think dangermouse is in for a better year think he will lift his average significantly. Brown should have a great year BUT DIDAK, i love this guy being a pies man but you absolutely must know what his role will be before you pick him. If similar to last season forget it, if back to being used as the star he is great. Patton yeah he is out forget him downgrade to smedts for 104K save a ton use it to upgrade nicnat :)

Overall good team could be great, unique and lots of potential. Well done and good luck

The one premium ruck strategy I think is a risk but one you have no doubt considered. Are you expecting to upgrade within the first 6-8 weeks?

I like your backline with the main risk being Grimes but your forwards concern me as too much would have to go right for Sylvia, Zak, Sidebottom and Brown to have great years all at the same time.

Just my thoughts.

Camstar1

Cheers for the response, and yeah I'm planing on upgrading in the first 6-8 weeks

Like this Team Reasonable mix of guns and rookies.

Just watch rookies pre season and pick best available as you may be able to upgrade eg Shiel at 113k may be better value than Coniglio at $192k. Gives you another 78k to use elsewhere.

Mortibacio

Your Def line is very strong the Mids are cookie cutter so you wont win or lose anything there, 1 prem ruck is a risk/win option the Fwds look a bit dodgy.

No risk no win but I would be tempted to drop Adcock or Broughton for a Buntine type and upgrade one your rookie rucks to Zac Smith, that guy is a 2nd season ready gold card carrier

Backlines looks good broughton being the only risk but he can play. like others have said there's beta value than coniglio but strong midfield have heard Gibbs is dominating pre season was considering him myself.
Personally I'd have a mid priced backup ruck but Giles should definitely play you'd think especially given the mark Williams connection.
My forwards are similar bar cloke and I had saad but was told he didn't rack up possessions in vfl or where ever he's from so I got rid of him for kerridge( I know he's a rookie so I'll just watch him)
Good team in all

So this is what the team stands at right now. I traded out Adcock for Grimes. Grimes should be In for a good year plus he shoiuld average just about the same as adcock. I also traded out Conigilo for Dylan Shiel. Same average and saves some $$$.  Now I just don't know where I should use the remaining $202,300. Should I upgrade barlow to a premium?, Should I trade out Saad and add in a mid pricer?, Should I trade out Browny to a premium? Or should I just save the cash to upgrade players later in the season?

Ringo

Reasonably sound Team
Personally not a fan of Gibbs in the mids this year. Preferring to wait and see how he goes as he was only the 19th best mid field sc scorer last year. maybe use some of your cash to upgrade Gibbs to Murphy who imo will outscore Gibbs at a cost $80k.
Obviously risk with Gimes that you would have factored in.
With cash left may look at getting a mid priced rook West, Renouf etc who will get games at their clubs.
Structure you have is sound with only 2 playing rookies each week per line.

8/10 for this team.

Sabretooth Tigers

Not a bad side, not keen on Gibbs ( probably indicates that he'll have a steller season ) and would definitely go with 2 premiums in the ruck. The alternative is probably giving other sides 60 to 100 start each week. At my count you have 2 dual position players dpp's in defence and 4 in the forward line but nothing in the midfield to move them around. A great deal of flexibility would be a clear asset during the 3 byes so would look to add more dpp's in def, mid and forward lines. Hope this helps in some way, cheers and goodluck. Team should score well .

PICCOLLO

I like it.
Ditch Gibbs though.  With that kinda cash you should bring in a big name mid.  Gibbs isnt an elite mid.  Pick one from top 5 last year.

Camstar1

Not going to ditch gibbs, Reports say he is dominating in the preseason, Means he could take his game to another level.
