Tough year in 2012 for super coaches. The change of most good scoring mpp's from last year to single positions has hurt many potential teams. Still deciding the best mix to cope with the bye rounds too.
Each year i seem to finish overall around the 2-3000 mark which is a little frustrating. Always seem to be one or two good players short of cracking the 1000.
Any feedback on my team would be appreciated

Pretty good.  Didak and the porpoise in the fwd line is risky though!!!  J.Brown having a killer preseason I hear.  Dangerpants is always a risk too--zarharakis instead?
Your backline has a few ifs too but you got to take risks to get top 1000.  The heater is a good option but perhaps an upgrade target because of his huge starting price?  Not a fan of Grima.

Thanks Piccolo. You make some good points. I will make a couple adjustments and repost cheers

Further minor adjustments to bolster the team.
I have left Marty Clarke in there due to his price. Can't beat $170k for a player who will play in a top 4 side. He is flying preseason too.
Grima is in there too, having his first full preseason and last year ave 80, so could take his game to another level in a team expected to make finals this year. Porps & pfeiffer are cheap and expecting them to play some early games, these will be cash cow options to upgrade after round 6.

DEF: B. Goddard, B. Deledio, H. Shaw, G. Broughton, N. Grima, M. Clarke, L. Spurr (B. Smedts, B. Wilkes)

Looks pretty solid to me.

Def: Very strong, 4 good keepers, will be intersting to see what role Broughton plays under a new coach but either way should be a solid scorer, if he does get more midfield time though could definately push to 100+ average. Don't mind the Grima pick, Clarke is a must and can't comment on the rookies at this stage.

Mid: Strong, interesting to have Martin in here, he does provide good mpp but would suggest when your ready to trade out a rookie, swap Martin back to the forward line as there are far more good upgrade targets in the mids.

Rucks: Good, any combotnation of Sandi, Cox, Goldstein, Jacobs, Mumford and so on wqorks for me.

Fwd: Only real weakness to me. Not a fan of Sidebottom even though I am seeing him in a few teams. He is an improving player but I still see his average sitting around 90 again this year just because he still will not get huge amounts of midfield time being probably 5th in line at the Pies for midfield time (Swan, Pendlebury, Ball, Thomas).

8.5/10, fwds my only worry. Would perhaps downgrade Porplyzia to rookie and use the extra 100k to turn Sidebottom into Fyfe, Cloke or Goodes.

Thanks dmac for the feedback.  I've been following porps this preseason and he has been injury free (first time in 5 or 6 years) and he is training to play midfield, at his price makes him difficult to go past, at least for now. I think you might be right about sidebum, I'm really punting on him having a breakout year in 2012. He has been a standout in the preseason at training to be a winger, hopefully a goal kicking one. Adam goodes tends to start the year slowly so maybe goodes could be a good trade up option @ round 6. Who else could you suggest as a substitute for sidebum?

Ringo

Would be tempted to swap Sidebottom and  Martin moving Martin to forwards and the bring in another similar priced mid to Sidebottom eg Barlow, Rich etc. Zorko will maintain your M/F DPP Link.
Reasonably strong team which I rate 8/10

Thanks Ringo, I like that tip. A lot of other teams have Barlow already so for something different maybe Rich will be the way to go.
