your forward rookies are too expensive. get rid of Byrnes, Gumby, Haynes & Dick. Then get like Zorko, Saad, Treloar etc. Then you can upgrade either Brown or Porpz .

Your midfield rookies Tyson, Hoskin-Elliot, Morabito & Bartlett. Besides Bartlett are all in the 160k area. pick 1 then pick 3 cheap ass rookies, eg. Shiel... Then you could probably upgrade that 5th mid or upgrade Cotchin or somewhere else.

That is all from me.

Ringo

Agree you have a lot of value tied up with rookies who may or may not pay off.  With rookies you are mainly looking at them to increase in value so you can cash them in to improve Team.  By selecting Premium rookies you decrease this potential.  My advice is to watch the NAB cup and select best performing rookies.
I see a risk in defence with both Lake and Bower I would select only one and downgrade or upgrade the other.
Mids: Structure Good. If Bartlett plays NAB cup and named in Brisbane's first team would keep him if performing well. Forwards also a risk with Brown, Porps and Gumby all returning from injury

PICCOLLO

An ageing injury prone fwd line there.

Chappy, Nroo, JBrown Porps , Gumby, Dick and Byrnes

Take that Fwd line, keep Franklin and start again.
Ruck great
Mids good (check rookies come NAB)
Backs -could use a bit of tweaking.  Get Deledio in there.

Jervz999

Tweaked a little bit, i like the look of my forward line, and just cant get rid of bower and lake for the price, got deledio in the mids for swap with goddard for byes etc etc, what u think?

Couple of suggestions for you:
First my strategy with DPP is use the rookie DPP to move your prems around. IMO does not serve a purpose swapping Prem with prem  eg You have Horsely who is a B/M DPP so you can move Goddard to the forwards using Horsely if required.
In explaining that I would move Delidio back to the defence where he belongs and interchange with Lake or Bower.
Would also move Zorko to Mid to give you a M/F DPP link.
back moved to mids would use Zorko to replace and then look at upgrading Morabito to a prem.
Would also look at replacing one of your 3 risky forwards (Chappy, Porps, Roo) with similar priced player as not all 3 may pay off.  Need to replace Zorko with another rookie.

Enright to shaw , lake to delidio that's it for def.
Delidio to a premium mid,say swan,? , downgrade Tyson and morabito to cheap rooks there are tons. That's mids
Philips to Giles that's rucks perfected.
Props to a rook, nroo to a genuine premium, dick to cheap rook that will play ,

That's just my suggestions, otherwise I rate your team highly good luck.

Pretty happy with this squad, dont no much about the rookies as yet, backline lake a risk, mids barlow, rucks im happy think west will be the breakthrough ruckman this year thanks to ottens, forwards only chappy really and i reckon martin will be a 110+ scorer this year.

Thoughts would be much appreciated.

Would be concerned a bit re Chappy, alltho last year we all expected the hammies to snap, proved us wrong.
Broughton has been in my side then out & went with Adc*ck myself.

Wilkopolis

Backs look good.  Think Broughton will improve.  Personally think Grimes for a little more cash is a better option than Lake - I think he's more of a natural for SC.

Mid premiums exactly the same as what I'm rolling with so can't criticise that.

Not sure Trent West is going to be an A list ruck this year.  Will share duties with Orren & Vardy when he returns.  Could find himself playing more key forward were JPod or THawk to go down.  Personally think HMac presents more upside.

Like the look of the forward line.  People will say beware Chappy but he's a proven gun.  Think J Brown is irresistable at that price but can see why you couldn't slot him in.

All in all a good team.

Jervz999

Heres the latest with byes taking in to consideration. Thoughts?

Reasonably Solid Team here.
Def: The usual query with Lake but very sound
Mids: Do not like Martin in the mids.
Rucks: Sound With one prem, one mid and 2 rookies
Forwards: Possible risk with both Chappy and Brown together.

Suggested improvements Replace Chappy with Martin and select another Prem at around the same price in mid field.

Watch the pre season before settling on rooks. Would love to see Bartlett have a change of luck but see him and Zorko fighting for last place in the Lions mid/hf line.

PICCOLLO

Cant fault your current team.  Looks great.  Pendles is soaking up a lot of coin when you could grab swan?  Pendles will eventually get a sub 130 score and he'll cheapen up.  Pies will be hungry though and he dominated last year so no one could fault you for keeping him.
Playing 3 rookies on park in fwd line is something i prefer not to do.  Mid rookies are better to play.

Def: solid nice picks accross the board. if tomlinson doesnt show a lot during nab cup downgrade to a basic rook and pocket the $$ same with lake - or go to conca ?
Mid: solid midfield but i would have martin in the fwd line at the expense of a premium fwd as he wont score premium mid points but will be a keeper premium fwd.
Ruck: solid west should go well and cox will be #1 again tho expensive, go to burger for a lot of extra $$
Fwd: martin needs to come in here and a new gun mid to the mids which costs you some $$ so if you dont downgrade cox to do it you may need to make brown a cheaper option or drop him to rook.

Good solid side overall well done should go great and good luck
