One mighty risk on trent west, but if he averages 80-90 this season i think its a risk worth taking. I haven't picked orren stephenson because since i have west, i dont want another geelong ruckman, so i went rowe

This is my last team until the nab cup

SAMCRO

Just be wary of Grimes and Porps, just watch their pre-season and see how they go.

Mate great team, nice work, deep midfield due to your ruck, check rooks and mid pricers through nab as  you are obviously planning too but looks like a great team.

Hey P 77's.

Yeah super side you have here.
I can't fault your Backline or Midfield.
I like the Trent West pick.  I'll be very suprised if he doesn't average 100ish this year.
I rate Porplyzia as a player but I think his best SC scores are behind him.  I've had him in my side in the past and apart from his shoulder injuries has never really let me down. Looking forward to his return to footy this year after playing bugger all last year.
Tommy Walsh is an interesting pick also.  He'll get better and better throughout the year I think.

Nice work.

Thanks for feedback guys!

First feedback would be to show your team in a different format. Hard to read like that :)

Yeah, forward line tale is weak. Doubt porplyzia will do well, he's hurt me before! West is a risky proposition too IMO

Cruiseon

Not bad but be wary of Porps & Grimes.

I'm not sold on Trent West yet.

Mitchell is a downgrade option. He's still in the rehab group.

This team looks so dangerous to me. 2 playing rookies who I can't fit into Richmond's best team + Grimes + Shaw in the backline.

Mids are solid. I like the unique Hodge. I presume Zorko is only in because of his MPP. I fully expect him to score like crap due to being a defensive forward, if he even plays.

Rucks are decent. Giles is good back up if the West experiment fails (which i expect it to)

You won't go into round 1 with that forward line. You're backing in too much risk. Walsh hasn't even played a game yet and you've got him starting. Porps will only score 80 IF he comes good. Couch, Kerridge, Smedts are all on the fringe and not all of them will play regularly.

Meow Meow - lot's of criticism over the rookies - without offering him better options at similar price.

Shaw could easily be top 4 defender this season - easily!

Grimes - i kinda agree with you there - injuries.

West - at what score would you consider him a fail? To me he is well capable of 75-80 and an easy upgrade from mid year. Some of those top rucks could loose 100k or so.

Purple 77

Thanks everyone! Maybe this won't be the last team until nab cup.....

charliesheen

If you want trent west i would consider going

Goldstein, West, <Orren, Giles>

Leave Rowe in your forward line.

You can use Pattison as a downgrade for Orren to cash in and open up the MPPs.

Purple 77

Yeah, but im not too keen on having two geelong ruckman, the bye could potentially kill me!

I have considered Pattinson before, but it was pointed out to me that a guy who is likely to not play a game is just a waste of space, forward line or ruck.

But i still might have him yet :P

Joel Tippett was gold for me last year!

Purple 77

Yes he was for me too........... about half way in the season when i couldn't get petrie out of the third ruck spot  >:(

Which is why im considering a cheap MPP in the ruck again, but apart from roughy, who still might not play for a while, there is no premiums that has that MPP status

I am gonna take the risk on having 3 rookie rucks and "double trading" them later in the year. I realised that since the new supercoach rules came out, all I need is to have EITHER two of my three rookie rucks get to about 330k, or I can have one ruck get to that value and one forward to that value, coz i can swap Rowe in their and trade out a forward for a ruckman. So what i would do, say if Orren stephenson was to be 350k, i would downgrade him to some cheap ruckman, then say Pfieffer was about 350k, i would trade him out, put Rowe in the forward line and I have about 550k to spend on a brand spanking good premium ruck.

Comments would be great!
