#29 in the 2008 NAB AFL Draft, Beams was one of the best DT rookies in his debut season, averaging 71 and playing 18 matches (including 2 finals appearances), broke the 90 barrier 7 times, & 100 barrier 3 times.
In 2010 played 25 matches throughout the season & increased his DT average by roughly 11ppg, which could have been more had he been accurate in front of goal. (26.32)
Last year he played predominately as a half-forward/midfielder in a team of DT guns, with Swan, Pendles, & Daisy being the most noted.  However he held his own with them averaging 101 through the home & away season & 95 through the entire season including a poor finals campaign due to a groin injury.  He also sustained a foot injury that ruled him out for 7 weeks, but averaged a whopping 119.5 in the 6 games of the home & away season when he came back into the team.
This year he's listed as a DPP (Fwd/Mid) which adds extra appeal to a 4th year, 100ppg player, but sharing the round 12 bye with numerous other top 15 Forwards will he fit into your Dream Team?

Turkies

probably put him in the fwd line, i havent really checked byes yet though so i'll need to see how he fits, but he had an impressive end to the season (except finals) and i do rate him. averaged enough for a premo FWD last year, even though he had some injuries, and hes getting more midfield time which can only help

Phasir

would love this guy to explode like pendles has, given B.Johnson's status in the mid & Beams already being earmarked for more centre time his scores could consistently be around the 115+ mark that he averaged through his last 6 matches of the H&A season

theflyinghawk

yeh hes in for me, rd 19-24 his scores went

98
142
113
107
128
129

thats solid for a midfielder let alone a forward.

Phasir

I was really keen on getting him last year, but listed as mid only didn't fit in with the other guys i had there.. if he'd been listed as a mid/fwd or even just a fwd he'd have been locked

Scrads

would be great if you started with him and it paid off. I am personally going to treat him as an upgrade target, just to make sure his output will be satisfactory. Even if he averages say 98 or even 93 (which is possible) its better to upgrade to him mid season then waste all that cash at the start.

Colliwobblers

tough call he could go either way, i have sidebottom who is 100% going to play in the midfield this season. Ball is also a lock in the midfield with the notables you mentioned, for me beams makes a super fwd, probably in the top 4 for the season if he gets a full season in, but at $503K and sharing the bye with Geelong, Fremantle, Essendon, Sydney, there are only so many you can have on that round 12 bye isn't there?
