Hey Woblers!

Backs - looks ok, although having Waters and Lake - bit risky. Just not too sure how good Lake will be after his ops, also i reckon he appears to be somewhat of a lazy track worker!

Mids -  seems that we are all in love with a deep midfield - Trengove, Hayes and Barlow? Just cant envisage all 3 finishing top 10? Barlow yes, Hayes at 32 will start slowly and Trengove no. Too much cash spent here.

Rucks - I feel a "set and forget" approach is best. Jacobs is the weak link here. McEvoy rates about 7th in the rucks for mine. Guys such as Cox, Sandy, Mummy, Goldy, Leuy and NicNat make more appeal than Sam for me.

Forwards - Brown and Christensen, one of these risky type mid pricers is enough imo.

My approach this year will be more the guns/rookie approach as a raft of mid pricers can leave you frustrated if they dont come off. Having said that one "middi" per line seems a safer approach?

Yeah much better looking team balance here Wobblers.

Ringo

Much better team. 8.5/10 You do not have the DPP links to the Mid if you want that flexibility.

Def: Docherty may miss early games due to hip surgery. Risk with Grimes,
Mids OK
Rucks OK (set and forget) Just hope Sandi is fully over his turf toe.
Forwards OK Only real doubt is Christensen.

Wait and observe pre season and watch players returning from injury and how some players are being used by new coaches.

Thanks guys who would you put into the mids as a FWD? DPP link, i figured it too hard to get a DPP def link in except through a rook??

I'm a bit lost on the dpp link it was easier last year with gibbs and heppell in the mids and ofcourse the fwds were easy too

any suggestions?

Ringo

My strategy will be same as last year and the year before when we only had two bench players is to select the 2 best performing rookies from the preseason with a dpp link and are named in Round 1.  Currently my mid bench is Luke Brown with a Def/Mid DPP and Zorko with a Mid/Forward link.  This will allow me to bring extra prems into midfield if required due to one or 2 game injuries.

Thanks again I have Zorko I will put brown in for the link and see as you say how they go in preseason and NAB before locking htem in, I'm pretty confident zorko is a great choice but i know nothing about this luke brown? time to do some googling :)

Last year we had a squad of 33 not 30

Ringo

Know Miss Pies - just re read post and it did not read right meant to say the same strategy as last 2 years including 2010 when we only had 2 bench players.  - Should re read posts before finalising.

I switch this side up to have docherty in the mids as DPP mid/def if he starts in round 1 after his surgery if not al long as brown form the crows looks a likely starter he will be in on Ringo's advice.

Knowall

Returning the favour.

Not a fan of Waters and Grimes too much risk Id have one or the other.  Id definetly have Grimes if I was choosing one he has more score
Im tipping Enright to start declining this year, speculative I know, just my thought
Dont really like taking second year players so I probally wouldnt take Heppell.  Im sure theres a better option at his price
As a crows supporter I dont think Thompson is that much value.  I think hell be good but would be lucky to average more on last year.  Id pefer a Watson or a Mundy who's more value
Sidebottom Im not sure hell improve that much SC wise next year either.   I took Dangerfield because hes more likely to get a good go out of the middle with less competition
Christiansen even if he turns out to have a great season cant see him improving his score enough to become a keeper.  Id perfer Porplyzia
Sandilands will miss games every now and then you can count on that, If your willing to cop it then hell serve you well in the other weeks.

Thats all the problems I found with it (being very picky). But everything I didnt comment on means I either support it or with the rookies I dont know enough to make a decent comment.
Overall 7.5/10

Colliwobblers

Thanks Knowall, makes a lot of sense and SC is very different to DT and I am not sure i am getting the SC players right just yet, I like the way SC scores it really makes some players eitehr a DT player or a SC player many are both but just as many are only one or the other.
