cash left over?
why do you want to play premiums out of position? that would be the first thing i would look at.
umm other then that i think theres a few better options for certain players, but i guess its personal choice which makes teams unique and different.
all'n'all im not a fan of the structure, i think you will be losing lots of points in your midfield..
i would scrap it and start again to be completely honest (and not necessarily any individual player, more the overall structure)

Art of War

Hey,

Thx for the feedback. Approx 100k left from memory.
Premiums out of position you mean like Goddard in the mids?

What are your thoughts in terms of structure for 2012?
Appreciate your thoughts.

Ringo

Agree with Maidens - Playing players out of position eg Goddard will leak points in the mids.
I would start again and try and structure team with 3 super prems in each line and their usual position.  Most Teams will be structured this way. eg Defence Goddard, Broughton, Shaw, Delidio or similar
Mids would look at Ablett, Swan, Pendles, Murphy, Selwood or similar
Forwards your existing forwards are ok providing you can keep within cap.
Rucks ok but just personal for me not sure Nic Nat is an ideal second ruck.

With your team at the moment you have too many unreliable players, players returning from injury and rookies.

bookends look better,  your mids are pretty weak.
remember more points are made from your midfield than other positions.

also what are you trying to do? win league or go for overall?  it does make a difference

Art of War

Trying to win the league
$250 entry per team with weekly prizes and $2k for the winner.

So many players that look like they'll improve in value this year so happy to start skinny in terms of premiums and then start jumping on the premiums after the bye rounds.

What are your thoughts in terms of strategy this year?

upthemaidens

oh ok cool....  $250 league hey  hmmmm  anychance i can get in on it  hahahaha

ok well for league yeah u can start your team alittle more mid price type, dont trade much first 10 weeks and just do enough to win half your games, 24 trades this year so pretty easy.  try to make top 4, but its better to have 6 trades left and finish 7th then have 2 trades left and finish 2nd
i use to do league ,but these days its about overall so i'll be going mainly premium/rookie trading hard early strategy

Art of War

Cool,

Hows that work the trade hard early strategy to win the overall?
We're looking for two more SC addicts with leagues hosting 18 teams in 2012.

$250 per team
$100 weekly prize (highest score every round)
$2000 for the winner plus a few other prizes and an all in punting round.

Thx for the tips
I'll keep an eye out over the NAB cup for rookies as I think there will be lots of cash cows this year, pull the trigger round ten and load up on premiums!

upthemaidens

for overall, basically just need to set the team up as soon as possible and hope that injuries dont destroy ya in the last half of the season.  i find it more fun cause its a trading frenzy
oh well good luck with ya league, if ya want i can have a look at your team closer to the season start
