I've finally developed my own strategy...it's a risky one, but I think it'll work ;)

For my next pick, I pick the 2nd coming of Bradman in the WAFL...

...Bernie Naylor.



Considered one of the most successful forwards in history, Bernie Naylor played 194 games for South Fremantle between 1941 and 1954 and in this time kicked 1,034 goals. Out of the 194 games, he was held goalless on 4 occasions.

During his career, he amassed an incredible list of achievements and records, that include:

• Current record holder for most goals in a single WAFL game - 23 goals (including a record 12 in a quarter)
• Current record holder for most goals in a WAFL season - 167 goals.
• South Fremantle's best and fairest in 1953
• South Fremantle premiership player in 1947, 1948, 1950, 1952, 1953 and 1954
• South Fremantle's leading goalkicker in all 10 seasons he played (1941 and between 1946-1954)
• WAFL's leading goalkicker six times in 1946, 1947, 1948, 1952 and 1954
• Represented Western Australia in 16 games and kicked 45 goals
• Is a member of the WAFL Hall of Fame and WAIS (Western Australia Institute of Sport) Hall of Champions

He is so respected, that the leading goalkicker for the WAFL each year is now awarded the Bernie Naylor Medal.
