i have posted about him before and am now devstated i didnt stick with my gut and get him. Still only 340k averaging 100. He is a jet and will end up with a 100 average
i have curnow and want to trade. is shiels the way to go

So you are saying that a player that had an interuppted preseason with a injury and has been pulling out 40s and has had one good score and one half decent score will be more consistent than a young midfielder scoring 100 every week and has PROVEN that he can average 100. The reason i am steering clear of hodge is his consisitency

Coxy had an interupted preseason last year and everyone still jumped on him mid season and were rewarded for it.

Coxy as a ruckman was garunteed 25-30 points via hitouts a week, and on a bad day he'd still pick up 5 or 6 marks with maybe 10 kicks and a few handballs. throw in a tackle there and then when he was rested forward as a "returning ruck" he would usually kick a goal
so with all that Cox was pretty alright to get 70+ a week (that being his lowest possible scores)

Hodge is just like any other midfielder

I'd go with the 3-4 year record rather than one half good year. All Shiels has proven is that he can score a few hundreds, not whether he can keep it up for a season?

It is a risk on Hodge as he has only performed once this season but he several points in his favour.

i) Did you really expect to keep performing poorly this season? I didon't as he is not only a good DTer, but a gun player and now the captain so has to lead by example.
ii) This will be his cheapest price of the season.
iii) Hawthorn are not going to drop their captain.
iv) He is a lot more experienced than Shiels.

Having said all this if you think Shiels is the way to go, don't let me stop you from picking him. I won't be getting him though.

PS Shiels averages against his next four opponents according to fanfooty are 40, 49, 24 and 70. Hodge averages 77, 92, 91 and 90.

- dont use internet formus for fantasy sports
- dont make fantasy sports your life
- get out and get a life (actually play football, socialise with real people ect.)
- pick the ugliest one because if you are on here you don't have much chance with the hot ones

but seeing you all like using the internet you could order one on ebay or burquabrides.com ect.
