Hi all,

as I now have to consider my first trades for the season, I thought I'd get this out there, and let a few of the loose cannons vent. It looks like Harvey and Lucas have to go, so its time to balance the budget. I'm thinking Harvey to Coughlan, and Lucas to Giansiracusa, but no changes 'til Friday night.

I aimed for 1900 points a round from the 22 on field. I budgeted for an average each week of 80 points from the backs, 95 from centres, 90 from forwards and 70 from rucks, and I figured I needed 8 bottom price players for the bench. That meant, for on field players I had, on average, 2M$ to spend in the back, 2.1 for the mid, 2.3 for the forwards, and half a mill for rucks. Then, of course, I didn't follow that advice - go figure.

Interesting that I was able to put almost exactly the same team up in SC! Only diff. was Rioli instead of Lucas! [edit - also White instead of Currie] Maybe also of interest is a kinda "loaded" backline. I had so much trouble there last year, and didn't want that happening again.

Well, enjoy tearing it to pieces, its averaging 1939.

...

not that i'm doing much better in that crazy uber league... :( (2000 ppg rounds 1-4) and then all down hill as soon as round 5 + 6 come along

I'm staggered Yogi - I thought I'd really whacked myself with no Ablett!

Averaging 2048 with a very similar team in SC.

No Higgins... you missed the boat.

Get someone better the Gian

Look again, he's there.

Gia is very nicely priced, which is why I had Lucas in the first place...

one reason why i respect prospector is because hes takn a punt on a player... rischitelli... brisbane has a loaded midfield but hes producing respective scores. on ya mate.

Prospector_1

It was a "risk", Will, and put maybe too many Lions in my midfield, and team overall. Anyway, thanks, and respect to you too.

i reckon despite your sub top 10 ranking in our league that by season end you'll be pretty formidable. Just by looking at no. of options in your team for upgrades etc.

my team has gotten 4 forced injury trades so far not including skipworth and ablett... so potentially another 1 on ablett. (kept skippy on the pine).

will be interesting to see who tops our league... i reckon the no. 1-4 have spent waaaay too many trades on hottie of the months like harding, davey, davis etc.

I hope you're right Yogi, and appreciate the support. Maybe I'll be flying high by the end?

First trades done -
OUT Harvey ($371,400) IN Coughlan ($176,400)
OUT Lucas ($264,900) IN Giansiracusa ($328,200)

Prospector_1

Second trades not done, bloody maelstrom on DT site last night. Needed to do Malceski to Cheney, and upgrade Jack Riewoldt. Copping some donuts this week end.
