Rounds 4, 5, 6, 16 and 19 (where there are 3 AFL clubs who have a 'bye' round in each) will be considered 'bye' weeks in the competition - that is, there are no head-to-head league matches in those weeks. Your team continues to play and score points in the overall competition in those weeks as usual.

Sorry for double post but will this information affect your player choices?

Yes it definitely will. If you are playing for league wins here is my summary:

Teams without a Bye during league: Brisbane, Fremantle, Melbourne, Sydney.
Teams with one Bye during league: Adelaide, Hawthorn, Richmond, St Kilda, West Coast, Western Bulldogs, Geelong (but in the finals when it will hurt)
Teams with two byes during league: Collingwood, Gold Coast, Port Adelaide
Teams with two byes during league including one during finals: Essendon, North Melbourne, Carlton

Based on this for my league team I am unlikely to select many players from Essendon, North Melbourne, and Carlton.  And if tossing up between two players how many byes they had and when they have them would be a consideration.

There is a great article on http://www.footytragic.com/blog/ especially on strategy for those trying to win overall.

Just thought I'd bump this up. Not sure if it got moved or what but it is a great tool and a few people seem to have lost it.

There is a sticky at the top of the Sc strategy section, so if it drops down, let it go.
